What does your pond look like ... Today?

Still waiting for the ice to thaw on my pond. I'm ready to get it up and running. Hopefully by April I'll be able to get things going. The forecast looks promising as of right now.

Gotta love the bog! Mine cleared in 24 hours and by 48 hours completely clear.

I just noticed with all the rain we had, my bubbler poppet the circuit, it was off, the pond froze over. So I got a spade bit and the cordless drill out and drilled a few holes in the through ice when I reset the breaker. I hope the frogs didn’t die.

I have two small shallow fishless ponds that freeze pretty deep, in working on the ponds to get things running I am seeing small frogs popping below water everytime I get near. They are gone before I can get a good look. All i can think is they are baby green frogs. They survived the ponds freezing up, no water flow, no air flow, rotting plants. Yours most likely will be fine.

Opened my pond yesterday. Looked out this morning and a M&F mallard were already enjoying it.
