What does your pond look like ... Today?

Our wild duck hatched hers about 2 weeks ago and walked the babies away. Someone down the road has a bigger pond

You should see it in the winter looks like dead rotting junk, comes right back.

lol got it! I like snakes, we have some big black snakes rat snakes garter snakes, don't often see them though.

I like that we only have non-venomous ones on this side of the Cascade Mountains. I rescued one from the road a couple days ago. It's so cold here right now they don't move much. I hate to see them squished, not much good for anything then

Ducklings are hatching! Saw Mrs. Duck moving around a lot. Went into my basement to look through the window and finally saw some heads!

Doing my best to guard from the rival ducks, but I'll have to leave later today so I hope nothing bad happens.

now I know why my fish are always hiding , went outside just to walk and saw a great white heron stalking our fish!

congrats daddy at least this time you were home to see the babies .They are cute as a button .I have seen people that make worm compost and put it near where ducks nest just to make sure the momma does not wonder far from her babies .They seem to not mind loosing some of the worms for a good cause.I bet you can hear them

Ahhhhhhhh, thanks for posting and hope they do well and bully neighbor ducks leave them alone! They are just the cutest
