Finally getting my new pond filled in with plants... fish love the lilly and new containers. ...they seem to be doing laps now and really like the milk crate to dart in and out.

Also 3rd year for my pitcher plants1st year they are blooming. Also my hummingbird are back...3 males so far.

last night thunderstorm and still raining out .Great for the grass and plants but when do I get my yard work done .Did some last night while it was only raining lightly but then the sky opened up

@sissy I have rubber raincoat, pants and waterproof hiking boots and an umbrella so just as good as a wet suit. I do get soaked on the days I leave here thinking it will stay dry and then get dumped on w/o all my rubber stuff on. Oh well it will all dry out by the fire.

I have a yellow one that is just starting to bloom, it is not the yellow flag. It just showed up one year near the deck, I did not plant it. Once it opens I will snap a picture.

Can anyone identify either of these two plants for me? The first one is some type of low light perennial, similar to Trillium. The second one appeared a couple years ago and has huge maple-shaped leaves but it isn't a tree. It's growth shape and habit is similar to our native Devil's Club (minus the nasty thorns). Both grow under evergreens in very acidic soil.

mine also I saw buds before but not any blooms .It went down in temps today to 51 degrees instead of up
