Here you go JB All along the back edge a bunch of milkweed is growing nicely. Self planted.

Pouring rain again, here is what it looks like at this time. Plants were growing like crazy then went into pause mode as we turned cold again. Even have a bit of frost damage on some of the yard plants. Crazy weather.

Woke up this morning, looked out my window, and saw a goldfish sticking out of a bullfrog's mouth! I ran out, easily grabbed the frog, and pried the fish out. The fish is still alive and swimming around, but it is definitely banged up. Some scales are pulled back, and has a torn fin.

That's the first time I've ever seen it happen, but I had suspicions a couple years back when one of my fish mysteriously disappeared.

Meanwhile in the duck nest, I found one egg cracked open. I imagine it happened when another pair of mallards fought Mrs. Duck. They fight her and chase her away every single morning. I'm hoping I'll be able to guard the ducklings when they hatch, because they could chase the mom away and kill them. My neighbor and I think the other pair may be nesting in my neighbor's daylilies.

How sad for the little duck egg @JBtheExplorer and hope the rowdy neighbor ducks don't hurt your babies. Maybe the neighbors ducklings will hatch first and they will all leave then.

Ducks will share babies just like deer do .Community baby sister but it must be an older cranky duck .

I had that but it started to spread into the lawn around the pond
Every plant in my bog has spread out into the yard. I let it, easy to mow down if it is where I don't really want it.

The bog bean has been contained in the deck pond, ready to turn it loose also.

My "frog food" fish is still doing good. Been active all day and ate during feeding time. Wondering how long until the frog goes for another one.

@JBtheExplorer where are the mothers day ducklings? Happy Mothers Day to the duck mothers to be whenever it happens :)

I definitely thought there was a possibility, but nope, still eggs.

Although, Robin eggs did hatch today. I watched the robin carry the empty shells to my fence and then dropping them. I assume they do that because if they just dropped the shells off the nest, it would tell predators that the nest is there. Pretty smart!
