Beautiful everyone! I need to go out and do some grooming to mine. Plants around the pond are getting too big and lilies need grooming. On my list today.

Thought I'd show how my water lilies have looked over the last three years.

2014: My first year with the pond. The plants were fertilized and did better than I expected for their first year.

2015: I never fertilized them, and it showed. They didn't do well at all. The pads were small, they were in fewer numbers, and they turned yellow fairly quickly.

2016: I've been fertilizing them and they've been doing great! This is the best they've ever looked. In fact, I even have one less lily pot this year.

I really need to update my Showcase (I've been to busy working on the pond), but since the pond part is nearing "completion", I figured I would post a couple of photos from this morning. I still need to fold back and bury the liner in a couple of places as well as finish the last layer of rocks on the waterfall. One of the main challenges in this is that I had about an 18" slope from the house to where the waterfall sits. So even though the total fall height is maybe 16-18", I needed to build a pretty sizable hill in the far corner.

My view (from my patio). In the very bottom left you can see my "walkup" to the pond which is flagstone/steppers.
