What does your pond look like ... Today?

Here's a couple shots of the last bloomers for this year. It's always sad to see the season close, but I guess a rest is good.


We look forward to these, but know they're about the last to bloom. There are three different colors here.
Cousins to the ones above.
The latest to bloom in the bog.

Poor pond, stripped down............ the murk will be gone in the next few hours just swept it, netted it, groomed it

Fish are swimming happily, plants are floating lazily, I am sitting contentedly...but there is so much work to do

Just a couple pics from the pond today... The koi babies are getting pretty big, and there is also a big spider web (and spider) hovering over the pond surface. I misted it with the hose so it showed up on the photo.

I have been seeing a lot of huge webs recently, and a bunch of these, sure are pretty, sure don't want to walk into a web.

Yes it is, I planted it in both bogs this year and it did much better in that one due to the shade.

I's been while since I posted pics.

I like this grassy area around my favorite patch of cattails. It grows to the top, and lays down on the top of the water. The aerator makes it sway under the water. I have about 5 or 6 of these patches around the pond.

.
I removed about a 15 foot row of cattails on the other side of the pond.
