I love those stones in the Arizona pond addy .tmann is that a statue in your garden and what is next to it .I have never seen your pond from that angel .All of the pics you show are new and i have never seen your pond from that perspective .I hope you show more .Thats like the stream I have flowing across the road from my house but the sides are deeper and boy does it flow when we get a heavy rain .The only time I can see it from my house is in the winter when the trees don't have leaves .

You could get plexi glass panels for your deck and take out some of the railings .They have the newer scratch proof stuff at lowes and use it even for fencing and deck rails

Sissy, I took out that pond and creek about three or four years ago, now thinking of putting one back in. Are you referring to the statue on the hill that you can barely see? I don't see anything next to it? What are you looking at?

It was only 12" deep and was an algae mess (full sun) and the creek ran behind the perennials so you could not see it from the patio, you had to stand up on the walkway to see 1/2 of it. I am rethinking about putting a smaller pond back in there and tie it into the existing creek. Check out my pond photos in my signature under general pics of my pond there are some updated ones that I put in there the other day.

now i'm more confused what was the small pond with the high sides that is on page one first pic seems like it is by itself .Is that your first pond or something you took out .I still like the stream and since your back yard goes up a hill it would look great to put some of it back and just make it straighter maybe .

I know you had said the elephant ears had gotten to big for the stream but I like them as it makes it look more jungle like .Did you check out the mini elephant ears at florida hill nurseries .com .They have some really nice ones .My neighbor got several and she also got some interesting cannas from them .They are cheaper than around here .

I looked at your video as the first one was not available anymore but the second one was .Gosh go up on the roof that would make it all look great from above and explain it all .Would be nice to get it from a birds eye view .The thing is with the elephant ears growing like that reminds me of a tropical vacation .Some really good size shells would make me think you took the pics on vacation rather than in your back yard

CE - I really like your drawing of your next pond. Great that you are putting your thoughts down and you can make changes before/during/after your new build. I wish I had done that. LOL I have the idea in my head, but don't put anything down on paper. I'm sure doing that would help my hubby alot to see what I'm seeing. I'm going to enjoy watching you dig this pond too.

I'm really anxious to start it. PL. After all, can't let you and John and all the others have all the fun. LOL I should take a picture from my deck, showing the size of the trees and where they are located, as that would give a better visual of the area I'm working with as well. In fact, I should do a more aerial drawing of my yard, which might help as well. Or, guess I could climb up on top of my house and take another picture from up there. :)

Wear a parachute ce, it will keep you from smacking into the ground. I have climbed on our roof (don't tell hubby) it does make a nice over view picture, a nice visual.

Well, right now my yard is totally white. We got about 2-3" of snow, very pretty, last night. Not going on the roof today. Haha, I'm pretty much chicken chit to be on a roof with snow. I don't like heights to begin with, easy sloping roofs are ok, like my roof it, but don't ask me to get up very high on even a slightly sloping roof!
Addy, did you by any chance see the drawing I posted on this post yesterday?
