Trouble w/ that is they wouldn't have a clue on how to do anything and you would wear yourself out just the same trying to get it right. I think they should be bringing you a peace offering of some sort to be nice. Wouldn't ya think :confused: Let's wait and see if they do :lol:
If not they go on the poop list eh :confused:

:rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes:
two pages of Sissy's posting and happenings on CountryEscapes thread. One or two remarks is one thing but this is considering Hijaking a thread, It's not that I don't want to read them, and really I'm very sorry it happened but can we please try to keep threads on track or start a new one if needed for the sake of the original postering just out of courtesy if for no other reason? :confused:

Gosh, I've been off the net for the last 2 days and hated to read about Sissy's "adventure" mishap! Glad things turned out ok, Sissy. You make me very leery about leaving for the next few days to go visit my daughter! But, I will hope that no problems happen while I'm gone. And, I have found myself talking about my own pond on other's threads, so no harm done, but thanks for the request for more pics!
I realize the water is green, but not concerned about that. Filter will run until next weekend, then I will decide next course of action, which will likely be to purchase a UV light to clear it up. Nothing in it but plants so far. The filter is secure, although I know it doesn't look that way. :) I put 4x4's under the liner to direct the water back into the pond for temporary use. Waterfall work will begin next week.

Wow, I think I have finally figured out how to show the picture, then write about it! I thought this was so cute, the new iris I just purchased bloomed for me today!

And, I'm not sure, but these two little "freebies" in with the irises look to be the red stemmed parrots feather, even though the other large plant of parrots feather I purchased SAID it was red stemmed, it sure doesn't have the red stems, but as others have said previously, the regular green stem is more hardy.
Now, one of the ladies (JW or Sissy or Addy?) above said to have the parrots feather under the waterfall or along it. Does that mean it grows both IN the water and next to it in the dirt, or just in the water? I wasn't sure how to show it cascading down the waterfall and in the crevises unless it was not totally in the water. So, help me out here! Right now it is sitting, pot and all, in the bog. The elephant's ear is on the shelf next to the skimmer. Cleaned out the filter and basket in the skimmer, since I mowed yesterday, and there was some stuff in it. Hoping it will be ok while I'm gone for a few days.

KoiGuy, you are absolutely right! But, I think I would be on the phone with those ladies every night asking them questions about my pond, and it's probably better and I will learn more to read and re-read it, rather than listen to them telling me so much so quickly. I use my "computer time" to absorb the information. :) Thanks again to everyone, as this sure has been a fun ride, and continuing to be such!

lookin' real good there, Pattie...........i fear your filter may be a tad small for that size pond...so you might consider keeping the fishload on the conservative side...altho your bog will be a big plus...best of luck to ya!...so far it looks like youve got it under control!!

you got both the red steam and the reg. cool, You can plant parrots feather along the dge or directly in the water but the runner needs to be in water either way to start growing, they will spread to land and water but won't stry far as they need the water source. I would leave some of the red stem right where it is. If you got it going that good so far, lets some be. Your's looks better right now than mine did the whole time I had it.

Yep, not planning on too many fish. I have 6" fantail, 2 comets, 1 shubunkin, and 3 regular goldies, all around 4". Want to add 2-3 koi, and I prefer the small size, love to watch them grow. Can always go bigger with the filter system when/if needed. :) Thanks for the compliments. I love the feature outside my deck. Even with the stupid biting flies, I can still enjoy the pond.
