just witnessed the most brutal battle of two male mallards of all time... in my pond.. watched for a minute then went to get my camera. but by the time i got it, put batteries in it and got back to where i could film. it was over!!! i had no idea they would battle like that..."WOW"!

They do get into it, we watched herons fight over a female......wow

Had two fly over our pond this am, they both paused, looked down and kept going...........YEAH for my large weave net, it works great.

I have toad eggs already hatching, they are doing the wiggle now into tadpole life. Saw legs on some of the over wintered tads, they are morphing
