Never seen anything like that and too bad it didn't happen a few days before as it could have been considered a white Christmas!

LOL! Oh, no, no, no no! ... No taking off the clothes things for me! ;) Maybe if I were younger, but then again maybe not! I never quite got into the hippie and free love thing. And, you are correct, Sissy... It is too cold for daisies here. I could die from exposure (or more likely from embarassment)!

Read the comments under the picture and you'll realize it's more of a 'shite' Christmas!

Trust me, Sissy, no one wants to film me! At least not for any sort of a "nature" film. Maybe for a comedy like "Gildersleeve's Bad Day"! :)

When my nephews were young they used to ask me what made the foamy suds in the river... I told them it was "cow pee" Har har har!

Hey, I found another really great use for H2O2... I have a really nice WHITE beach towel. Well, it was white once, but over time it has become old and discolored. Stained from river water and riding in the back of a jeep. I was about to toss it out, but it was a really nice beach towel. I washed it with 1/2 cup of H2O2 in a small laundry load (no soap) then ran it through a normal wash cycle with soap. It came out perfectly clean and nearly pristine white. Even the rust stains from a time where I tossed it in the back of a jeep for the ride home from the river are gone. I am really impressed. It is 100% cotton. It is not something that I would like to toss out and now I am pleased with the results. I tried running it through a soak with Chlorox, but that didn't seem to help much. It ended up with a slight yellow tint and the fibers were coarse / scratchy. Now, it is almost like a brand new towel. Not quite, of course, this beach towel is over 20 years old. It is close to 30 years old. I guarantee you though, that it isn't a rag. You could now put this towel in the closet of a good hotel and it would be accepted. No one would suspect that it has been in a dirty river, thrown in the corner of a tent and hauled around in a dirty trunk over and over again for 20+ years. Must be pretty good quality material from the get go.

Well, anyway, it cleaned up quite nicely.

I wonder how this H2O2 would work to clean up a sink garbage disposal?

Those lucky bum Florida frogs! Guess the chlorine doesn't bother them or is the pool treated w/salt stuff?

They don't use chlorine, not sure what the use, never has the chlorine stink.

For them I use a box of baking soda and vinegar .It starts foaming and fizzying and freshens the drains in all my sinks and does no harm to the septic system .Just pour some baking soda in and then the vinegar and the kids love doing that .

I had lunch with a friend today and she gave me a couple of those wire type hand baskets you use in the stores to just pick up a few things and she thought they would be good for my pump instead of the tote and I changed my pump out to one and tied a rope to the handle and since I have a metal pipe going across my pond anyway I just tied it around it and how easy to pull it up and thought they would work for some of the plants also ,Easier to pull them out .The store got new baskets and the bossed asked employees if they wanted any of the old ones take them .I called her and she got me a couple more with plastic handles also .Gave me the list of stuff they are getting in also ,each store gets different stuff but this store is getting some pretty good stuff

I read a tip from Heloise... in the newspaper. Cut up limes and lemons in small pieces and freeze them. Put a few pieces into the disposal from time to time and crank up the disposal and then rinse it down with cold water.

Yeah, I know it sounds peculiar, but I do read that stuff. Sometimes there are some really good things in there, even for a bachelor. I am usually more concerned about outdoor equipment, my truck and hunting and fishing things, but a good tip is a good tip, period.

here is some stuff on peroxide that I was sent in an email, Also have a good write up at home on what it can be used for

1. Take one capful (the little white cap
that comes with the bottle) and hold in your mouth for 10
minutes daily, then spit it out. (I do it when I
bathe.) No more canker sores, and your
teeth will be whiter. Use it instead of
mouthwash.
2. Let toothbrushes soak
in peroxide to keep them free of
germs.
3. Clean your counters and table tops with
peroxide to kill germs and leave a fresh
smell. Simply put a little on your dishrag when you
wipe, or spray it on the counters.
4. After rinsing off your wooden cutting
board, pour peroxide on it to
kill salmonella and other
bacteria.
5. I had fungus on my feet for years until
I sprayed a 50/50 mixture of peroxide and water on them (especially the
toes) every night and let dry.
6. Soak any infections or cuts in 3%
peroxide for five to ten minutes several times a
day. My husband has seen gangrene that would not
heal with any medicine but was healed by soaking in
peroxide.
7. Fill a spray bottle with a 50/50 mixture of
peroxide and water and keep it in every bathroom to disinfect without
harming your septic system like bleach or most other
disinfectants will.
8. Tilt your head back and spray into
nostrils with your 50/50 mixture
whenever you have a cold, plugged sinus.
It will bubble and help to kill
the bacteria. Hold for a few minutes, and then blow your nose
into a tissue.
9. If you have a terrible toothache and
cannot get to a dentist right away, put
a capful of 3%
peroxide into your mouth and hold it for ten minutes
several times a day. The pain will lessen greatly.
10. And of course, if you like a natural
look to your hair, spray the 50/50 solution on your wet hair after a
shower and comb it through. You will
not have the
peroxide-burnt blonde hair like the
hair dye packages but more natural highlights if your hair is a
light brown, reddish, or dirty blonde. It also lightens
gradually, so it's not a drastic change.
11. Put half a bottle of peroxide in your
bath to help get rid of boils, fungus,
or other skin infections.
12. You can also add a cup of peroxide
instead of bleach to a load of whites
in your laundry
to whiten them. If there is blood on clothing, pour it
directly on the
soiled spot. Let it sit for a minute, then rub it and
rinse with cold water. Repeat if necessary.
13. I use peroxide to clean my
mirrors. There is no smearing, which is why I
love it so much for this.
14. Another place it's great is in the
bathroom. If someone has been
careless and has peed on the floor around the
toilet and it's begun to smell of
urine, just put
some peroxide in a spray bottle and spray. In
the blink of any eye all the smell will be
gone and bacteria
eliminated!
