I think the thing is evil..............it still had another couple holes today and of course I can't quit now............I'm so close to winning, lol!
Suffering Succotash that stuff is nasty tasting! I think this may be it tho. I'll give it the old water test tomorrow! Must have been at least 9 - 10 holes so far.

JW did you ever give it some thought that maybe your Hubby just didn't like the gator and he is the one that keeps drilling these little tiny holes in it or maybe he is doing it to keep you busy?

or keep her high from all the fumes .I wonder if when they injected the mold they had air bubbles in it that caused all the holes .May have been easier all around if you had filled it with the spray foam and been done with it .Wonder when you will get the new head ,did they say how long or give you a shipping number

Just got the 2150gph pump from Harbor Freight sissy mentioned. I had ordered it right before she posted. It says not to use it in a pond with fish as it is not tested for that use.

Just got finished talking to tech support at HF. The company that makes the pump used paints and plastic that have not been tested for safety with animals but they have had no coomplaints. I'm going to take a chance & will let you all know if there are problems.

I have been using harbor freight pumps for ten years and no problems yet but you should get the 5 dollar warranty they offer and even if it is your fault they replace the pump no questions .I know a lot of people that live around here have there pumps and never a problem yet .I know some on this sight uses them also .I had one go out because of low water and my fault but they did not even ask they just replaced it .I have a harbor freight now here in Danville VA and there is a bigger one in Atlantic City NJ

I have several of their pumps as well and have never had a problem but this was the first time I saw a warning about using with fish. It's running so we will see.

I looked at my boxes and did not see a warning on them .I like that there pumps come with so much extra stuff and when something works and is that cheap I guess you keep going back .I would have cried if I had a pump that cost a small fortune and it was ruined .I know a neighbor of mine who did a swimming pool pond and he has 2 and never had 1 problem .He has had his longer than I had mine

My 920gph has been running for 5 years with no problems. I wish my Becketts were that reliable. I use Laguna as well but they are not as cheap. I have 2- 620gph pumps ordered from HF as well but they are back ordered. They were on sale for $35.

I don't use the foam pre filter on my pumps I just put the plastic cover on mine .The pre filter gets yucky and sucks in on itself and I know other people have had the same problem

Sissy said should take 5 - 7 days to get the new gator head and sent me an email w/ confirmation/shipping #. I patched one more hole last night and this morning left it in the sink while Costco-ing and when I got home no water sloshing inside. Still don't have much faith in it tho but I did put it in the pond where it is still floating..........so far. We'll see what the new one is like.

T-mann, hubby thinks I'm nuts already when it comes to trying to fix things like this as it is.........don't think he wants me spending all the time I do on these deals any more than I do unless he's gunning to have me committed so he can live his life in peace, lol! He's put up w/ me for almost 43 yrs now!
