We are going to have to pull the front door to get the old one out and new one in. Will be nice to be out of coolers, stored outside. Luckily it has been cold enough.

My son up in NJ has been out all evening with the flat bed towing people from the turnpike and he was at a mile post where there were cameras and I could see him out there hooking up a truck .He said where he was at and I pulled up the NJdot camera sight and saw him so told him to come out and wave and I could see him waving his flashlight .How funny is that .We were supposed to get rain around 4 pm but we got nothing

He called me and I thought it was great but I worry about him out in all that nasty weather .He said the major problem with hooking a car in any weather is people driving by and they are looking at him and not the road .He said he had 1 close call tonight with a car sliding sideways at him and it hit the car he had chained to the flatbed and was just starting to pull up .He kept having to stop and yell at the owner of the car to get his kids off that side and get them in the truck or they could get hurt .He told him he did not get in the truck with the kids he was going to leave him and the kids and the car there .He finally listened and Wally was glad he did .He said the car that hit the car he was picking up pushed the car sideways into the railing .He called for another tow truck ,he is not allowed to hook 2 up in bad weather ,he had pics of it all

goodness, the storm sounds like it has picked up speed and I hear the snow is coming down heavy in New York now, what if your non-existent storm is finally coming and you could all be snowed in by morning!
Three - four inches, it will melt fast once the sun comes out, even if cold.

Tbendl, I looked at that several times before I smacked my forehead and laughed! Cute! It's been a very mild winter here, all except for about a week. Ponds have had no ice for good while now. Supposed to go down to about 10 Sunday night, though, so winter is returning. They are calling for high winds and 80% chance of snow on Sunday, too. Yuck! I would much prefer 6" of snow and 32 than 2-3" and bitterly cold with high winds and drifting. Maybe it will head a different direction, which would be fine with me.
Can't wait to see pics of your kitchen remodel, Addy, and new fridge. Others are getting W/D and so forth. My windows got ordered yesterday, so should be in about 2 weeks from now, then hoping for a nice day or two for them to be installed. :) In the meantime, I found out that the double sided tape with the plastic kits to cover your windows does not hold, but the Froggy duct tape that Menards sells sticks VERY well! I have the 3 windows that seem to leak the worst taped up for two weeks now, and tape is holding. Winds blow the plastic out like a tight balloon, then sometimes suck it up to the window with opposite pressure.

9 here snow sleet coming back, small amount, ponds frozen up well.

Our cabinets came in yesteray, we go get them today. If we can get the base ones in , level, ready, they will measure the granite on monday and have it installed on wednesday. We are going to be cranking. Will be sink less, stove less, fridge less (still not here due to snow storm up north) counter less for around a week. Still hot water less, to darn cold to run the propane lines (so honey says lol)

We can turn it on briefly, just leaks on the floor. Get nice hot showers at the health club. Good reason to go and exercise.

There was a massive fire at a house , 16 million dollar house, huge place. Two grandparents, 4 grand children died. They had a 15 foot douglas fir Christmas tree, that they left lit all of the time. It had been cut 55 days before. An electrical fire at the outlet, caught the tree skirt on fire. The dry tree burned like a bomb. The house burned to the ground. So sad The fbi, and others have spent a week looking for the family, figuring out why the house burnt down, nothing left.

I prefer not to use real trees, they are so dangerous once they start to dry.
