My cat keeps bringing me prezzies of birds, mice, moles etc. some alive, some not so alive. I wonder when she sees us eating dinner at night if she thinks we are eating her gifts.............well she could be thinking that couldn't she? I opened the man door to the garage yesterday and she was hollering out there like she does when she wants me to come look. When I opened the door she was there soaking wet and a young bird flew right in at floor level between my legs and I freaked and she started chasing it and I screamed and grabbed the wet cat and threw her back out and went looking for the bird in the house. Could not find that sucker anywhere, upstairs, downstairs nowhere, so while wandering around aimlessly all of a sudden it shoots out from somewhere and crashes against the nearest window and flops down and perches on a plant stand. I made the slow approach thinking all the while this thing is gonna take off in flight again and the chase will be on but no it just let me pick it up..........well after I got it's really tight feet ungripped from the plant stand. Man they can really grip w/ those tiny little toes of theirs. Anyway it did not look harmed at all just scared to death in my hands. Took it outside and opened my hands and it flew way up high to the nearest tree. Sorry kitty but there's one bird we won't be eating for dinner :joyful:

Happy day! We received the title to our paid in full car loan. It's a great car, 2009 Toyota Venza. Since buying it new we have only put on 38k miles. Knock on wood 'cause it has never had any problems. Keep it well maintained by our Toyota dealer. Looking forward to many more years with our Venza. :D:joyful:

Went outside this morning to edge around a new flower bed. Noticed a neighbor had a couple of international workers rebuilding her fence. All of a sudden one of the guys walks over to the corner of the ladies house, drops his pants, squats and relieves himself. I gave her a call and delicately told her what I saw. Within five minutes the Desoto PD arrived and took away the two men. Before leaving the officer made the potty man go bag up his stuff. Wonder if it will be used as evidence? :wacky:

Nothing surprises me anymore.

My two cars are 14 and 8 years old. I had them serviced at the dealer for a long time but it got too expensive so I ended up finding a local mechanic. He operates a 4 bay garage and his prices are better than the dealer's. So for things like brakes and tuneups and stuff I have them all done there.

I hope to keep my cars as long as possible. My son asked about getting new cars but wew car payments are a few hundred bucks a month and I told him, think about what you can buy every month for a few hundred bucks. So I'm very meticulous about maintenance.
