Guys I just the recent news on the shooting. I think one of the victims was from the town where CE lives? Dont quote me on that, but im thinking thats what I heard :(
You are correct, Fishy. I think his last name was Owens, he was from Effingham. It was a horrific thing that happened. What is happening to our world? Today a 16 year old went to school with a knife and slashed about 20 kids before he was stopped. Were people always "crazy" like this, or have we done things in the last say 75 years to change how society feels about this type of behavior? I for one believe that taking prayers out of school is a huge factor, and when they removed the ability of the principal to spank kids, that was another one. Sorry, but I don't believe in the "time-out" chair. My kids were NEVER beaten, but when they did something wrong, they got a swat on their butt, enough to get their attention and make them sorry for what they did, and that was that. Discipline has left many homes, I think parents both working worry about their kids "not liking them". Geesh ... your kids need discipline and crave it.

What can we expect when even young kids are allowed to spend hours playing violent video games and watching violent movies? Couple this with absolutely no discipline, and we are raising a generation of psychopathic loners, who see nothing wrong with acting out their violent fantasies. You haven't seen anything yet... give it a few more years!

the reason also kids are like that is there parents consider children a paycheck .Have a kid get section 8 ,welfare and food stamps and the parents can party and not work and do drugs and drink and they are never home to teach the children right from wrong .Welfare was a hand up and people made it there job .

Country I'm so sorry to here that. And my heart goes out to his family and all if the families that are in pain right now. May God hold them in his grace....
You all are right....our beautiful world is becoming harder and harder to take. The family foundation is crumbling before our eyes, and why wouldn't it, its easier to get a divorce than it is to get married. And tgats the solo

And that is the solution for most people, instead of working to keep the marriage they promised before God to uphold.
Now, that being said, I know all marriages can not and sometimes shouldnt be saved.
But the fact is that children see throw away marriage as a solution to adversity.
And as far as discipline goes, thank our government for that one. They took the ability to discipline our children away from us, and the kids know it!

My sister felt marriage should last for ever also and hid from us the domestic violence and then she came to her senses .She had tried getting help for him but it just got worse and then she left him and filed for divorce .Problem was that he said the only way she was getting out of the marriage was in a box .She tried to tell the judge but he kept saying he is a upstanding man the makes over 200 thousand a year he is not going to do anything .Well he did and we lost our Margie that day:( .We need to stop children from having children ,CE see's it everyday in her job .

Went outside early this morning to apply fertilizer to lawn and flower beds. About 2 minutes after starting I suddenly found myself face down in a sort of steep area. After realizing I had landed in an awkward position then discovered I could not get up. Got the phone out of my pocket and called Cathy's office but their phones were still on night service since it was before opening time. Well, there I was, dizzy, shaken and in a spot of the yard where few if any could see me. Calling 911 wasn't necessary so I decided to lay there until I get my wits back. In about 5 minutes and a lot calmer I easily rolled over and got up. Pride hurt more than anything. Raked and sweep up the small pile of fertilizer that had fallen in a flower bed the proceeded to get on with my chore. Soon Cathy called since she had seen our number on the office morning caller list. Told her what happened and was told to immediately stop and go inside. Finished the remaining yard and flower beds. After getting securely inside I called her back to ease her worries. Artifical implant in my left shoulder aches a bit yet that's no big deal. At this moment, aside from writing this post I'm listening to the sprinkler system give the entire property a good soaking. Also can hear our bird visitors singing their morning songs. With a smile on my face and a few scratches life goes on!
