Finished laying the blocks for the bog today. Put the underlayment and liner in and picked up the pvc. See pictures on my pond 'blog'.
Here is a list of what I ordered. The site I ordered from didn't have zone listings on all the items I ordered. If it didn't have the zone listed, I assumed they were hardy......I think I might be wrong on a few.....
Calla Lily >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> zone 8-10
Creeping Jenny 'golden' >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> hardy
Fairy Lily >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> zone 7
Parrots Feather >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> mine came back we are zone 6b-7
Pickerel Rush 'purple' >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> zone 4-11 (mine didn't come back but it was baby plants put in late)
Siberian Pink Cups >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> zone 6-11 (likes some shade to survive)
Taro 'Tea Cup' >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> zone 8
Water Zinnia >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> zone 8
Water Hyssop 'hairy' >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> zone 8
Dwarf Cattail >>>>>>>>>>>> zone 6 should be ok left in bog ow sink into pond bring up in spring before it begins to grow
Blue Medusa Rush >>>>>>>>>>>>> zone 7-10
Bog Lily Red Leaved 'Sangria' >>>>>>>>>>>>>>> zone 8
I'm hoping to get the plumbing done today after I get out of work........
Or Jack Daniels! JohnOh my gosh...I'm so tired, every muscle in my body hurts. Time for Advil.
Or Jack Daniels! John
Their web site says the Siberian Pink Cups are zone 2 and the Taro Tea Cup are zone 3. The Bog Lily 'Sangria says its extra cold hardy compared to the purple leaf crinum......probably might be a good idea to do a mass planting of just one type of plant. If you had to choose just one, which bog plant would you put in????
