yeh but they cost big money .I wish I could afford them but no way .I either find another pump or buy another harbor freight pump .Whatever chewed the wires on the one I have is making it now use more power than it ever did before .I used the heat shrink wrap around the chewed part but can see with the kill a watt tester that it is using more power .It used to use 150 watts and has worked great since 2010 but since this happened a couple of weeks ago it has been going up and down on the tester ,Goes from 173 watts to 200 watts .Tried cleaning the whole pump out but still not working right .The harbor freight one is on sale 79 dollars and I have a 25 percent off coupon also .It is only 2150 gph but I have a 940 gph pump in there also that only uses 30 watts .Other pump I took over to the other house and that was 2900 gph .Just not sure what is going wrong with the pump .

Plus not sure how long I will be staying here and going to take fish to the other house if that does happen .I know that no one could take care of the fish like I do .I just feel this house is getting to much for me .I had to spend 400 dollars last week on the heat pump for the house .Fan motor went out on the inside unit and so did the outside unit motor .I am hoping my insurance will pay for some of it .I submitted a claim to them under my repair warranty program .Can't complain 11 years is pretty good on them .

well somewhat good news called harbor freight to see if they still carried the pump and they do and told them what happened to my other one and warranty ran out and they told me if you bring the pump in tomorrow that the manager other will give me 40 % off the sale price of 79.99 on the new one ..I like the water this one pumps and know it can fill both my filters and have extra hose dumping water inside the pond .For being 2150 gph it pushes a lot of water .fills a 60 gallon filter and a 40 gallon filter .Well they do have lava rock in them .So I guess I will stay with what works for me for now .I did look at savio's( maybe just the ones I looked at ) but seemed they used a lot of power .This one used around 155 watts but new one manager did tell me uses 175 watts .Not sure why more wattage ,but hope it works the same .Maybe works better since manager told me that hydro pacific pumps make parts for other pumps also .I will buy the extended warranty anyways .I still have my first couple of hf pumps and they still work and first 1 is 11 years old .The 940 gph pump is a hf 1 also and I bought that 8 years ago .I found the receipt with my others

I've had the same Pondmaster pump for over 12yrs now running 24/7 and no problems at all ever. Mine is a 2400 and I don't remember how much power it uses. I did know once as I checked online somewhere and the Laguna pumps were much better at power conserving. If mine ever crashes I will buy a Laguna to save power and hope it lasts as long as this Pondmaster.

Banner day! I have hard wired electric to our pond!
The poor thing has been running off a very heavy duty 100 foot extension cord for a few years now. We hard wired it when first built then it shorted like a ground fault, been on a extension cord since.

Now this won't happen!
