Sissy, I still have my goldfish with multiple bumps (at least 5) that have been there since spring. I tried to catch him a month ago, and it's just a no way losing battle there. Once they know you are trying to catch them, it's even harder. I know most people drain their ponds down when trying to catch a fish, but that just doesn't make sense to me. My fish has been fine for 7 months, so I'm going to assume what his issue is does not happen to be contagious. Yes, I did have goldfish dying for a while there, but none have died in the last month or so, gotta figure whatever that problem was is also gone, or maybe the cold weather put the issue in "hibernation". I will certainly be aware of the possibility of it raising it's ugly head come springtime and warmer pond water, but for now, everyone is happy and healthy in there. Good luck catching that fish! If you get the job done, let me know how you accomplished it! Oh, I did have good luck using a flashlight at nighttime, spotlighting the fish and slowing netting it that way. Got all of my goldfish moved from the koi pond this past spring, all in one evening, using that "technique". So, once the water cools down, maybe try that to catch the fish.
