Well we are WITHOUT A PAYCHECK as of today, for who knows how long! My honey is fed gov worker. He has to drive in (takes an hour plus) to turn in the gov phone, shut off his computer, than drive home. Luckily we have a buffer, hope all affected will be ok.

That hardly seems fair! Then again, I guess they basically get paid for doing nothing anyway!
John

Always, it is such a poorly run system.

Thanks Becky there could be worse things happening. We have a buffer, so will survive, others will be in bad shape, pay check to pay check livers, without the pay you sink fast.

I just don't get the whole shut down issue myself. I wish someone would explain it to me. Politicians are being paid for doing nothing ... yep, John, as usual ... and all the support workers are without a job, and get no pay because of .... what??? Yes, our country needs to make some drastic changes, one of them being that politicians have NO RIGHT to retirement for full pay when they only work in their job for 4 or 8 years or whatever! They should get retirement only when they are fully vested, like any other company that offers retirement. OK, I hate politics, and really don't understand most of it, so I'd better get off my high horse and leave this discussion to others that know what is really going on ...

Sometimes matching prefinished material can be tricky. Hopefully the following tip will help those using prefinished James Hardie siding and trim.

We are having our homes existing soffit, fasia and gutters painted to match our new James Hardie ColorPlus (prefinished) trim. To obtain a perfect color match all our painter had to do was to provide the exact name of the James Hardie color to our local Sherwin Williams store. The Sherwin Williams data system cross referenced the color to a formula. The resulting Super Paint was a perfect match. Our painter also recommended taking along a sample of the Colorplus finished material and the small bottle of touch up paint provided by the James Hardie contractor as an additional way to ensure a perfect match. This applies to all James Hardie products prefinished using their ColorPlus Technoloy. Btw, our trim is "Arctic White" and lap siding "Light Mist" (light gray).
