Love barns too!
We didn't skimp on the price of the paint. Bought what the painter said to get and was the best they had and he got discount of course. It has a slight sheen to it and is supposed to hold up really well. Has a 20 yr warranty.

So if you live here in this area:

So many barns the age of mine are falling down. I do have another barn that is about 60 years old, not built nearly as well, foundation is cracking and moving, it needs to come down.
OK, really fun morning! Had to post a few of the pics. Neighbors came over with their 4 1/2 month old daughter to get some "puppy" photos. What fun!!! Bostons are 3 weeks old today. I took over 50 pics, and mom took probably as many! It was a hoot!!!

Here's a attractive new product named Garageskins that changes the look of your garage door. Believe it or not it is manufactured in the USA, Washington state to be specific. Honestly, I have reservations since it only has a 2 year warranty. I'm posting this simply because it is so authentic looking, at least photos make it look that way.

Anyone have a suggestion as to how to give a, now 170lb pot belly pig, a bath outside (seeing as I now can not pick him up and put him in the bath tub :) ) without him running away screaming and squealing like he's being stabbed with a pitch fork?!?

Hi: That's neat, but I think it would be cheaper to just paint a skin on.

During our early am beach walk,

DSC06326.JPG

found two tiny loggerheads heading for the water, so we helped the little ones. They looked so tired. They are so darn cute

The waves have washed away a lot of the recently redone sand, even exposed one bunch of turtle eggs. They say there are people that come and rescue the eggs, we are not allowed to touch them.

Fishy, I was going to suggest a harness, but then you would need a "bull" to hold onto him! LOL Maybe you have a large established tree in your yard, away from any flowers, that you can tie him to ... with a log chain LOL ... while you wash him? Funny, but with a horse, if you have a hold on them with a halter and lead rope, and stand in the middle, no extra help needed, and just squirt them gently with a hose, they run in circles, finally figure out the water is not going to kill them after all, and they stop and enjoy it. What's funny is watching two people try to accomplish the same thing. Taught many a 4-Her to do this. They would tell me, "My horse hates water!" Next time they came to a show, they would smile and said my "trick" worked. But, again, you need to be able to get up close to wash him. I would think in our heat we are having (you, too, I'm sure) he would love to be sprayed off with a hose! Maybe it's the scrubbing he doesn't like, or the shampoo, but again, would think he would like the scrubbing part, too, like JW said ... rubbing his belly. Good luck!
Adorable turtle babies, Addy. Sooooo sad the sand is washing away. I hope that gets taken care of until it's where it needs to be. Can't imagine trying to replace sand on an ocean front. You can't do it on a calm pond very well either, it floats and moves to the bottom of the pond. Hope someone saves those turtle eggs soon, and helps the little guys make it to the ocean.
