Yes it is a very memorable day both sad and happy as my wife and I were married two years before 9/11 happened so we will be recognizing our anniversary. Won't be as much of a celebration with this being the 10 yr anniversary of 9/11, will probably watch some of the documentary's that will be playing.

Mogsie is that a buddah in the bottom of your pond or a reflection of one? I am sure you posted some pics of your pond already but do you have any in daylight, I would like to see them.

tmann, my daughter was married 2 days before 9/11. Just celebrated their 10th anniversary yesterday...well they actually will celebrate on Monday when he returns from Coast Guard duty, he has been gone for a couple months. Her husband bought them honeymoon tickets to Hawaii as a surprise but decided to tell her a few weeks before the wedding. She didn't really want to go to Hawaii and they changed their reservations and went to Mexico instead. The original tickets were from Newark to LA......one of the 9/11 flights that went down.

Yes, thank God... They were married on a Sunday and the original flight was for Tuesday, but she also wanted to leave on Monday. Their wedding was in the Fingerlakes region and ended around midnight......they drove all night to Newark airport to catch their plane on Monday, just barely making it.
When they returned from their honeymoon, their car was almost an inch covered in soot......instead of driving home to Mystic, CT (stationed there at the time) they came back home (5 hours) just to embrace their families. He still had a few days of leave left.
We had wedding guests from California here that couldn't get home because of all the flight cancelations and they ended up buying a used car and drove back home.

maybe we should start a "bad banter" thread where you can bitch, piss and moan about whatever makes you want to bitch, piss, and moan....
