just a tip when shipping things...cuz i found out the hard way..
those postal service "priority mail" boxes are not the best way to go.. ive reused them in the past but always wrapped them in brown paper. well i have shipped a couple weirs out and used them boxes without wrapping them. and they were expensive . $12.35 .. used a box i "made" to ship one today..still shipped priority mail, still got delivery confirmation. cost me $6.15... 1/2 the price. both weirs the same size and weight. they just automatically charge the same rate with those boxes. and the sign says you save up to 16% using them..B.S... I thought there was just a huge rate increase...with the way things are going here in the states, who knows...lol

You have to watch what you are packing in them ... I use the BOXES all the time ... once packed, I weigh it ... if FLAT RATE is cheaper, I address the box ... if it isnt, I wrap it in a paper bag ... Ive found for books and car parts, the flat rate is often better, but for all else, I appreciate the free boxes LOL.

yeah...anything less than a few pounds wrap them or use another box. the weirs are likely little more than a pound if that! you pay for the convenience of those boxes i guess.

If it is under 1 lb, it may be worth sending regular first class mail ... it will fall under the base rate fee.

true.. but they were to people here on the forum. and i posted prices with shipping ...budget and priority.. i just added a couple bucks to defer some of the extra shipping costs . one weir i ended up at $12.after shipping..but then theres materials, time, and even the electricity used.. i aint lookin to make a living on these. but i dont wanna take a loss...lol
it was so much easier when i sold on ebay...weigh the package type in the box dimensions and weight..print a label and just drop them at the prepaid counter... got the paypal/ebay discount too..

That is just way too much! I sent a spider plant baby (nearly the same size as a 2 cup measuring cup) to PR for $6-something priority. Granted, it didnt weigh much, definately under a pound, but that was a distance...

This was the first time in twenty years that me and the hubby got money back! I got 2,600 and hubby got just over 2,100 but that is cause we had lots of expensives when he was sick, and they don't tax your money when you are sick either! :)

Today is going be be a good day, I can feel it aready, the sun is sunning and the rain this morning is gone. Going to take the puppies and my sweet pea hubby to the park for some quality "family time"!
