Happy for you and your new kitties! So nice that you took them both and they will see soon that you just want to love them and they won't be scared anymore. Please post pix when they feel more comfy coming out of hiding

LOL j.w I love your little sign (it,s sooo true). We have two one year old rescue kittens. We just got home last night from being down in Florida for 11 days. All night long (and today) it seems we were on call for them.

I have two all black sister kitties that I got from a garage sale about 12 yrs ago. They fight over who gets to sit by me on the couch each night. They don't like each other, otherwise they could both sit there together, I keep telling them. They need a visit from that cat fixing guy on the animal channel who carries his guitar full of cat fixes to make them be friends again

Contractor did not sho up today. ( peeved ). Cathy stayed home due to a touchy tummy. Me, I've got a killer headache so it's lights out for me. On the subject of cats. Our Sunny sits with me as much as possible 24/7. She's currently stretched across the back top of my recliner. I imagine she will hop into my lap as soon as I put this away and take off my glasses.

Good night all. ( zzzzz )

I miss having a kitty. We are at that stage where the kids are moving in and out. Youngest is going through the "I know it all stage" so is now staying with her grandparents ... that is a good thing LOL, but miss her kitty sitting with me ... older daughter moved back in, and her kitty is super sweet, but is too afraid to come down stairs yet. A recent bad experience with a dog our daughter doggie-sat has Lacey not wanting to meet our dog:-( Told hubby I wanted a tiny Chihuahua ... best of both worlds... He thinks I was joking, but I really want one LOL.

Did they at least call with a reasonable excuse?
No! Weather is iffy today so they probably won't show up. All that's left to do is the driveway (a money loser for him since he under estimated the difficulty), garage door painting, French drain by fence, one medium sized plant, two trees to trim, get and place more natural stone and mulch. He's not getting one more cent until he's completely finished!

Btw, good morning.

Good morning Lou. Sometimes contractors need some operating capital up front, but most of the time, if it is a repeat client, we ask for NOTHING up front, and if it is a new client, the costs of materials only. Thankfully we have never gotten burned, but know a lot of contractors here, who get a good chunk up front (50%), and then leave the property a mess for weeks. A lot of hackers here. I think the fact that we ask for nothing to little up front is one (of many) reasons why hubby is always busy. Hopefully, you only have a fair amount out (materials and maybe some labor to date), so that the contractor has a reason to get his butt back to your place and get it done. We want to get into a place, get it done, get paid. and move onto the next job. Although we are getting backed up now... cant get away from a client. It was great, did over $4k worth of work, then he added another $3600 (hubby gave me that check last night) and the client just added another $2k worth of work ... Glad the client is happy, but need to get elsewhere LOL. He has a sea wall he has to get to, then a pond install BEFORE the normal Spring work load hits ... Looking like I'll be on the phone pushing clients back:-(

It sounds like they are slowly getting there Lou. I will take your spot when they are done to keep the renovation banters going. We are still waiting on the City for paperwork back before we can start our house renovation. We started this process last August and we are still not able to apply for the building permit yet. It is all the City, our builder is ready to go.

We are extremely pleased with his work just the on and off gets a bit nervene. He has multiple jobs going on so I'm sure that is where he and his crew are so far this week. Friday he said he would see me Monday. If he would just tell us he's not coming then all is fine.

So far he has received 71%.
