Ran out of likes Ce! Glad you have some help getting him neutered. He'll stick around if you feed him I'm sure and sounds like he will make someone a nice pal.
Lou sorry you are feeling down and hope you get to feeling better soon. Here's a song that might cheer you from when my kids were little.

I was really tempted to bring "Barney" inside and give him a bath. Wow, he's grimey, poor guy. But, decided to bring some toys outside first, see how he handled associating with the other dogs and toys. Um ... he's very aggressive if he has the toy. Not been taught how to share yet. :) All in time, but figured wait and see what tomorrow brings.
Here are some more pics, better pics, of him. You can definitely see his body style, or lack thereof due to lack of food. Poor guy! And check out the width to his head!

Here he is laying on the sidewalk, still in the sun and Yukon was checking to see how he was doing. If you look closely at the pic with Yukon, you will see lots of white feathers on the ground ... looks like someone either caught a snow goose, or one was hit and he had a meal. That could be why he has not eaten much since he's been here, although he did make a dent in the food when I just checked.

Took a few pics of the snow geese as they flew overhead. I continue to be fascinated by them, always flying in flocks of thousands. The first pic a couple of "V" groups crossed each other, and then a close up of some flying by.

Sissy, my friend that works at the Humane Society said the same thing about the black and whites being the most preferred color right now. Don't you think he looks full pit bull? I know it's really hard to decide on his body style, since he's so thin. Just wondering since you have one. Can you tell enough from the pics I just posted? He's really hard to take photos of, he wants to follow me around. LOL That's why I took these with him on the other side of the sliding door. LOL

Great news!!! I found out the local Humane Society will pay for pit bulls to be spayed or neutered. And, they will pay me for food if I foster him. So, I'm going to take them up on the free neuter offer, if he stays around that is. Right now, all my dogs wanted to come back into the house (washed blanket and their pet beds, so they are all nice and fresh and WARM fresh out of the dryer), and " Barney" (I've nicknamed him that LOL) is on the back deck. I won't necessarily require them to pay me for food, as I'm sure they can use their funds on other dogs. I can afford to feed him, but I hate to have to pay for a neuter when I know he will be going to someone else's home. Also, will have to find out how he does in the neighborhood. I know he already went to "Dot's" house, jack russell just past my house, and she barked at him, so he came back here. It doesn't seem like he is a fighter, just goes with the flow, so he should be ok with that. We don't have any other dogs within a mile of me besides Dot. Next dog is a Border Collie that protects her yard viciously, so he won't want to tangle with her! I just would love to feed him and watch him fill out again into the beautiful dog I'm sure he could be. He's soooo thin, can count each rib, and his head is HUGE in comparison to his skinny body. Haha, he need to grow into his head, how funny is that?!   I've been outside many times to pet him, reassure him he's welcome here and my dogs have taken to him as well. That surprises me, but I guess beagles are not territorial, my female Boston loves all dogs, and the mix breed, Yukon, seems to love everyone as well. If Barney sticks around until evening, when the dogs go out to sleep in the barn, and he follows them, he probably will stick around. Just ticks me off ... I could go on and on ... about people dumping dogs, especially in the winter like this! Remember, Yukon showed up here the 5th of March last year, and he was just an 8 week old pup! Stupid people ... STUPID PEOPLE!!!! I should write a letter to the editor, but I don't even get the paper, so I would not know when/if it got printed, about people who dump dogs, and the disservice they do to the dog.
That's the problem CE, stupid ignorant people DON'T care! Forget about having background checks on people buying guns... They should have back ground checks on people who want to buy animals, with home inspections and pee tests! Lol

Piggy poop ... ewwwwww yucky! LOL Yep, people need to have background checks to buy or adopt a dog, that's for sure. Heading outside now to see if he's still here. Getting dark, so wondering if he found a nice warm place to lay down for the night. My dogs will show him to the barn and hay they bed down on, but he may be in the dog shed, as all gates are open, and he's already been in there, too.

I had harley and albino pitbull most desired because of what they look like but also not many born like her .People are scared of the look and usually kill them because they are considered mentally unstable ,but harley was a lover and I got her fixed she was just a loving gentle pit .The black and white ones are loved for there more even the markings and the white feet the more they are cherished .Broader chest more valued also .You can see once he is fattened up he will have a very broad chest like king arthur .King arthur was to old when I rescued him to get him fixed .My son owned a black and white pit and not sure I got any pics of him or not .He passed away 3 years ago .The one you have looks to be around a year old but not much more .His chest will broaden to be bigger that his body .His ears are not cropped so no one has done that .They sometimes do it to make them look better and stand up .

We put them up in fancy hotels, give them welfare, free health care, accellerated citicenship, bring all their relatives over to join them, and then discover that they are warlords in some God-forsaken corner of hell who just want a place to rest, recuperate, and shake down their former countrymen for funds to keep up their ancient battles 'back home'!!!!!

Illegal immigrant stupidity part #2... Heard on the news this morning that the city of Toronto has proclaimed itself a sanctuary for illegals! Its employees are now FORBIDDEN to notify federal authorities when illegal immigrants apply for welfare, health care, housing assistance, or anything along that line. Schools also cannot forward information on students suspected of being here illegally! This simply re-inforces most people's belief that Toronto is run by a bunch of mentally-deficient morons who live in their own little world. Some years back they pronounced Toronto a "Nuclear-free zone". I guess that would prevent any A-bombs from falling on the place?

Two comments.

1. When Torontonians begin to feel like they are strangers living in a strange land then their ultra liberal immigration stance may change.

2. While stationed in Iceland our Air Forces Iceland primary mission was to prevent the USSR from nuclear bombing North America. The USSR routinely sent their bombers, then called "Bears", on just such training flights. Our USAF in-turn responded by sending up fighter jets, then F4E's, to identify and follow the "Bears" until they turned back. During one such alert our superiors gave us the startling news that the USSR bombers had not turned back as usual. We were calmly told that if the USSR bombers entered North American air space our F4E's would intercept. Once true combat begain our base would be destroyed within 30 minutes. As you might expect the reality of our possible impending fate certainly got our attention. No where to go, no where to hide. Now to my point. As for Toronto being a "nuclear free zone" was and still is as valid as British Prime Minister Neville Chamberlain's worthless 1938 Munich Agreement and Anglo-German Declaration.
