That's just terrible CE, you got to be careful and not get involved, just call police, there are WAY too many weird people these days, who knows for sure what the story between them was, but its best to let the police handle it these days. Bad drugs are everywhere and bad things can happen. just a few years ago, a couple streets over, there was a horrible murder, guy got dis-enbowled and his guts all fell out, people were freaking out, bad drugs and bad people were to blame.

I suspect your dad has a mental problem, Colleen. Anyone who says things like killing people, especially his own children, is mentally ill. He probably should have gotten treatment many years ago, it may not have robbed him of his children, or his children of their dad, but the past is gone now. Maybe he would not have gone for treatment, or taken the medication if prescribed. Lots of mentally ill people won't take their meds, and they are walking time bombs, not only for themselves, but for others as well. Sad sad world we live in.

Yep, that's for sure CE, he was a serious drinker back in the day and used to beat my mom bad too, we were all sacred of him, and still are, very sad, but he quit drinking many years ago but then took up gambling. But sometimes he sounds so normal you wan't to love him, but something in the back of your mind tells you to be careful!

I agree with JW. I was married into a family of grudge holders. I will never understand that mentality. Not that your family is holding grudges, Colleen, and I have a friend that's dad did the same thing to her mom, beat her, drank too much, beat the kids. BUT, we are taught to turn the other cheek. It's not going to be easy, but to find peace in his last days for both him and your siblings would be a great thing, even if he "weirded out" on them when they came to visit. At this point in all of your lives, you're all adults, you can control your own lives, and you are. Your dad can no longer control you so it's a matter of not letting him say mean things to you and you get upset about them. Simply tell him to stop if he says anything mean, and maybe just getting his attention will be enough. If not, walk away. Done deal. But, everyone should try. To never try is to hold a grudge, and that only makes you old before your time. :) That's why I'm so young. LOL I may get mad, but I get over it almost as fast as I got mad.

man tax.jpg

I received my tax return for 2011 back from the IRS. It puzzled me and I have been working on it ever since!!!

They questioned how many dependents I claimed. I guess it was because
of my response to the question: "List all dependents"

I replied: 12 million illegal immigrants; 3 million crack heads; 42 million
unemployed people on food stamps, 2 million people in over 243 prisons;
Half of Mexico; Foreign Countries that hate us, 535 persons in the U.S. House and Senate,
and 1 useless President and his wife."

Evidently, this was NOT an acceptable answer.

I KEEP ASKING MYSELF, WHO DID I MISS?

very true JW .Glad your mom got out before something bad happened Colleen been there and not pretty and it would have been horrible for you kids .Domestic violence should not be tolerated .Now if only women in that situation would listen .I know Margie tried to get out after years of it and some men are hell bent on getting even .He was prepared too the rented car ,the money from the bank ,the gun and a plane ticket back to Greece where he was born and family there would have hid him .Thing is Margie put up a fight because she knew and idiot did it right in front of the Middlebush post office in NJ in front of 10 people and a cop .Then he said she had the gun and pulled it on him ,but her prints where no where on the gun .

Yes, glad my mom left when she did cause I think something bad would have happened for sure. My mom is very small and he was quite big and he would throw her around and she was so scared she would run down to the cellar to hide from him. I never told my dad where she was hidding cause I was scared for her. I was still small when she left him, I think I was five years old.

Its too bad that so many people stay in an abused home. You hear of men going mental and killing the whole family all the time. If your scared for your life, get out, find a way and leave if you can, no one should ever be abused, but some find it difficult to run and end up staying, it never turns out good, and it effects the children.

I just love my hubby, we never say mean things to each other, it would hurt me more to say mean things, somehow we lucked out in love and found each other. I couldn't imagine life without him :) :) :)

You're a very lucky woman indeed, Colleen. I see lots of that kind of love all around me, and I smile every time I see it! Sometimes I smile at an older couple, like today, walking in Wal-Mart together. Both of them looked at me, I was alone, but smiling at them, and each of them smiled back at me. They had no idea why I was smiling, but they smiled back. That makes me day! I envy people who are so happy in their marriage or relationships. Sometimes it's the people who like to do everything together, and other relationships, each does their own thing, but at night, they are always together, in each others arms. It doesn't matter, love is what it is.... LOVE!
JW, I have been trying to figure out who you could possibly have missed, and I can't come up with anyone. :)

Yikes, that's awful, Sissy. I've never heard of anything like that around here. Can't imagine a Judge on the bench playing a video game and getting by with it! OMG!!! I can't imagine any reason a Judge would need to be looking at the internet for that matter. Time to research a case is not while on the bench. Attorneys should be handing the Judge case law to review, not ask the judge to look it up. Good grief!
Around here, it's marijuana plant harvest time. State Troopers in plain clothes are going out and harvesting it, when they scope out the patch and no one goes to water or take care of it. Most often they monitor it, but some of the patches are booby trapped, so they have to be VERY very careful! Guys said they got 50 plants yesterday! Told them good job! That's just a drop in the bucket, but they send helicopters and planes search for the patches. I guess they stick out like a sore thumb from the planes.
Sometimes they grow them in the middle of corn fields, but have to get in and harvest them before the farmer comes to harvest his corn. But, from above, that green patch glows in a brown corn field. LOL

CE I'll bet some of those cops are "harvesting" some for themselves too!! Sissy, that is getting quite common, people in positions of authority, taking advantage, taking extra bonus, long paid vacations at public expense...... There are rotten apples in every tree!!
