Saw some very red lotus, might , most likely, will pick up a new one in the spring. Lilypons is about 30 minutes from here.

I just read through this whole thread and I can’t believe it. I’m so glad you got it worked out and saved all those beautiful tubers, but what a pain. I love the photos you — pure inspiration
Did you really use 480 lbs of litter? Do you have a good source you’d recommend? I did some more experimenting with litter on the surface of my very porous coral rock waterfall and think that it may work for me after all, so I intend to be ready to work on that in the spring.

Yep actually almost 900 lbs. 400 plus in old tub to make a solid base for the new tub. Then 480 lbs in the new tub for the lotus.
