It'll be interesting to see if the water holds over night and the kitty litter wasn't finished absorbing water. You've got to be exhausted....go cuddle with the pups.

I am have not looked at it since earlier. Took pups out for play time, caught up on wash, etc.

Look tomorrow.

Then what do I do with a extra tank, no easy way to return, which did not arrive today even with paying extra. Calling tomorrow.

I'd just do a wait and see for now. See if you lose water tomorrow. Since tub did not arrive I suppose you might be able to cancel it but then what if you need it? Wonder if they have shipped it yet?

Lol the tub arrived same day, 10 pm.

Well loss water again, now old tub has 20+ holes in it to keep from building up water between the tubs. need the water still in to dry up. then adding more litter to have a solid bottom for the new tank placed in old tank.

480 lbs delivered. Tomorrow job, settle , level new tank add litter add tubers and hope no leaks for many years. Sealing the drain before install. Drilling in exit pipe before install.

Spent the morning removing the tubers, draing the tub, drilling holes. Done for the day.

Of course you want it to drain. Nope slomo drain.

Well at least you have your answer on the old tank and can feel good about the purchase of the new one. Question, what is the exit pipe for ?

I have water from the big pond pump, feed via a garden hose in to the loop ponds. the water flows from #1 to 2 to 3.

The lotus tank is #2. So water needs to flow in, flow out, to get back to the big pond.

I had a pvc pipe sticking out of the other tank. The flow is slow, a one inch pipe handles it, going to try for a bit bigger this time.

With the help of two neighbors, done.

Went out at 8, looked for hole saw, caulk, piece of liner etc.
Put the hole in, sealed shut the drain plug.

Took a bit of time.

Then we brought the tank over, set it in the old tank, took out, moved litter around, a lot of times.

Used a sawjaw to cut the rim of the old tank, to allow the new tank to settle better.

In out in out , adding litter until the new tank base felt firm.

Used my long level to make sure it was level.
Another 400 lbs of litter, tubers in, water flowing in now.

In the spring figure out water flow, attempt to hide the tank.
