Crazyyyyyyy.... while owls are probably my favorite bird of prey. I wory they are going to puncture your liner there claws are crazy sharp. You could never let one land on your arm without a glove
Thank you for your concern.

Much to my surprise, the Barred Owlets showed up again! I was sure that they might have gone off to discover their own territories but at least one of them is still asking and recieving food from the parents.
The two kids sat and studied everything for 20+ minutes before a parent showed up to whisk them away.

Well they surprised me again by coming by at dusk tonight. I watched for a while and then snuck out to the porch to watch them. The one dove into the bog and wandered around in there for several minutes :)

They love your yard! That is so darn neat!
What a privilige! I'm so grateful simply to see an adult -- seeing these kids is just best :giggle:

I found one of them (I think it's one of the kids) flopping around in the bog again overnight --- cooling off? looking for stuff to eat?? Dunno, but it's kinda cute. https://photos.app.goo.gl/xoqZbAPfLkc1WUbr5

I have Robins nesting also right by my ponds edge in this tree. Hard to see but if you look close you can see them.

Here's mama, really camouflaged nicely.

Here one of the babies w/mouth wide open. Think there is at least two but maybe 3. Way high up so cant see them too well.
