Sissy Those fish are called "painted tetras" and I had them years ago but Tetras have a short life and they don't live long once they are "injected" with paint to make them colorful, so I don't buy them.

I think I got spring fever, been busy with the fish tanks and doing stuff around the house. I got a bunch of wood houses I found at the second hand stores and they will be just great for this fairy garden I have. I can't get pictures right now cause my "blue tooth" not sending pictures to my tablet, so I got to sort that out quick!!

:)

We want to tear down our tiny bathroom and redo it. Have disliked it since the day we moved in. On our list to do......maybe this winter (which is going away fast)
They put in a huge whirlpool bathtub takes up way to much room. (very small bathroom) We are going to remove it and put in a shower stall. Planning stages.

Yes, always something to do indoors this time of the year. I should get back to painting but I just lost interest in that right now and have been busy playing with my fishtanks and sneaking more in the front door! I got another tank in the front porch with different fancy guppies, there are so many different types of guppies bred these days and they are really very colorful. I have been moving baby guppies to a different tank, mixed the babies from the fancy guppies with the wild guppies and will see what happens in a month or so. I suspect the wild baby guppies will die and I will be left with fancy guppies in that tank. The babies are still to small to tell which are what, but will report back later on my findings.

I got a couple pictures by the pond, got the camera down real low so you can look across the ice and view the bottom and middle pond from a different angle!

I have a spa tub in bathroom and agree addy and want to change it to an airjet clawfoot tub .My hubby has a shower in his bathroom so don't need another shower in the house .The airjet tubs are much nice and you can get them with a built in heater to keep the water hotter longer /sure colleen would be wrinkled to the point she would need to use a hot iron to iron herself out .No steam iron .

Well honey got inspired, spent the day trying to get the sucker out. Now we need to remove the door, toilet, to finish the job. Then my job starts, we are going to tile the entire bathroom, floors, walls, use epoxy grout (nothing penetrates it) put down a shower liner on the floor first, (slope the tiles to the drain) just a little work lol. Luckily we have two other bathrooms.

I did this to my az house, totally tiled the shower, glass block, shower liner, works great.

Did a search for home depot and lowes, don't see it. If you recall the name let me know Sissy. I will look for it next time I head into town. We will use the gray shower liner for the floor, cover the entire bathroom floor with it. Then mud and tile over it. I might see if I can get rectified tiles for the walls, (no grout line) hate grout, it never stays nice, except the epoxy grout which is a pita to use, sets up real quick.

So much to do around this old house it isn't even funny! Sometimes I get overwhelmed doing it all myself. Last year I did the deck and rebuilt new stairs too myself! Then I moved all the rocks out front last year, and some were big heavy bolders, when the city did the front "city" sidewalk. But then the sidewalk to the house had to be redone, so I did that and those slabs were very very heavy, back still sore from all that I think! That was a big project, and I never imagined I would get that ever get the crooked sidewalk done, but I did, and did it all myself too! I also retilled the bathtub and put new mold resistant drywall under it first, that was another project I never ever imagined I would ever do, but somehow I did that too! (Used a very good quality grout) This spring the first thing I need to do is rebuild a new fence out back before the puppies get out and run down the street. It is always something, but got to keep busy and do what I can to make life better around here. I am darn proud of all my hard work, even if it isn't perfect, at least it is much better that what I had before. My hubby is getting better and it will be nice to have him home this spring. Hubby was outside the other day fixing the fence and working on his car, even he is getting more energy, can't wait for spring so we can build fire and sit by the pond again and have a drink together!

For now I just sit and gaze into my fish tanks and imagine I am on a tropical vacation where the beaches have nice white sand and the weather is warm with an nice salty ocean breeze..... :)

PS.... I saw that fat aquatic frog eat a baby guppy last night!

It looks great and every time I see it it reminds me I need to remember to go down to the lake and see if that is Hornwort in there so I can get some. If I was close to your house I would come get some but alas we cannot even mail that kind of stuff back and forth.

Dreaming of a tropical vacation with nice warn sunny sandy beaches and lush tropical plants during these long winter nights....
I have several tanks now each with different lighting, florescent, incandescent, mini halogen and LED. Going to see which lighting best for hornwort, all though it grows best outside even in winter.... but I just want to have live plants in my fish tanks to help their little ecosystem. I also got two Mystery snails. I used to have large Apple snails in my fish tanks and house, but the large apple snails get the size of apples and eat all the live plants quick, and they would take bites out of the pond water Lillies too! Will see if these mystery snails will eat the algae first... has anyone out there ever had Mystery snails in their ponds? I also got little fresh water shrimps, hubby calls them water lice! Ha ha ha. my sweet pea hubby is on the couch as usual, watching old reruns of "Married with Children" :)

Can't get into sitting by the pond these days for my "Pond Therapy", so fish tank "Therapy" will have to do...
