Wish we had medical marijuana in the UK , I hate having to break the law just to buy something that acctaually kills the pain both Val and I are in .
Morphine is my daily routine along with all the other tablets to help kill my pain , I hate standing next to Junkies at the chemist who are their for their methadone and dread it when I get called to sign for my prescription that one may over hear our address and mug me of the whole months supply of Pain killers including the morphine tablets i take daily for pain

Oh Dave, that sucks!!! My husband was on morphine after he got out of the hospital and that stuff freaked him out! Medical marijuana much much better, they send it to your door, and you get to pick from all kinds of different types, and they have a list of what type is best for your condition, you just pre order and carry your card. At the Tom Baker Cancer center people smoke it right out the front door, nobody bats an eyelash. Nobody every died from it or overdosed, you just can't. It can't be bad cause God grew it, man made junk! Good luck Dave, hope your government wakes up!!! My husband does not smoke marijuana, never has, me on the other hand, well, its good for the eye pressure, and my sore acky bones.....

By the way, what's is the weather like where you live, do you have a thread with pictures of your pond?

Doubt the British government will ever do that they decriminalized it for a while then changed there mind because it was abused by youngsters ho then commited crime .
We have a book from 1930 called the Housewifes encyclopedia that describes Cannabis as a Hardy annual tthat grows in the garden wonder what changed .
In the meantime I'm probably getting more and more addicted to the morphine needing greater doses as the years pass buy , it really sucks

That's just crazy, they give you hard core "street drugs" that kill lots of people, but the pot is bad???? Number 1 drug on the street killing the most amount of people is oxycodin, and it is the most addictive drug know to man!! But thats OK??? Government must be on hard core drugs, where is the logic?? My husband got cancer from chewing tobacco and that is legal??? But now they say he can have pot to use cause it is good!!!

No way Colleen, you must have picked that bad habit up from your military service.

WE have rental units and kick anyone out for using weed. I woundn't allow in anyone with medical needs for it as it stinks up the building bad.

Dave, I hope I don't get to the point I need pain killers everyday, but do have neck problems now.

Actually lots of people smoked it in the military, the higher ranks too!!! Some of them took a CP (command post truck) one year from a unit in BC, and went to the states and "loaded up with pot" and tried to dirve back thinking they wouldn't get caught!! That was a few years back. Made the papers too. That was not the unit I was in... not saying nothing....

Anyway Pot is much much safer than the hard core pharmaceuticals out there!! More people traffic in hard core LEGAL pharmaceuticals than pot these days. No one EVER died from smoking pot.... how is it bad???????

My husband hates pot, took the morphine which was prescribed by doctor after surgery, but quit cause that stuff freaked him out!!!
I wish he would try it as he is losing lots of weight and it will give him the "muchies" so he can stop losing so much weight, but he is still dead set against it because of all bad rap it gets from people who much rather kill themselves with toxic legal pharmaceuticals!!

Hey lots of "big pot heads" went on to become Prime Minister, or President!! So it can't be bad!! I started smoking pot when I was sixteen, nothing wrong with me...... ha ha ha. .

Thanks Miranda! After twenty years of wintering the pond, you kinda know what to expect. I think I have it all "down pat" now.
First few winters were "restless" and I still get "restless" at night when the temperatures get to below minis 30. I find the benefits from wintering the pond out weight the negatives.

Yes but it is not just any coffee, it Timmys!!!" You should see the addicts when I go for my coffee there, there is ALWAYs a big line that wraps around sometimes to the outside of the building.... and you don't dare "cut in" or woe to you on "earth and sea" ha ha ha
They must put something in the coffee cause is way tooo good!! You will have to try some if you ever come to Canada!!!
