Yes, everything extra nice cause the whole front yard just got this stuff to help it grow that you hook up to garden hose and spray the whole front yard so my yard is on "drugs" from a bottle to help them "win the race" and flower hard! :) :) :)

Not all parts of the yard are nice, like the very very back where the extra lovely husband has been collecting & stashing junk, which I plan to clean this fall. John's Junk pile out back was bugging me this spring, so I dug up a small area and planted a "sumpkin" which now appears to look like a pumpkin! Tried to hide the junk by letting this vine go wild out back and green up the area more...

Pumpkin taking over the whole back yard, which I don't mind, hides the hubbys junk quite nice.
Strange creatures crawled out of pond, straight up the Yellow flag, and there were several too! Pretty sure its a dragonfly larva, was very big compared to some that I have seen, saw lots of very large dragonfies flying around today too.

Casa Blanca lillys are blooming and they smell up the whole yard!! I want lots more! Will divide and plant everywhere this fall!! They are sooo my verrry favorite flower now! :)
Happy cause my flowers are so extra nice this year!! :)

Yep Colleen I had one too on my Iris and they crawl up there and then leave their old carcass behind and fly away. Pretty cool!
Pretty lilies and I love the way they smell. I've got some blooming that smell really good too.

Oh Colleen, I can almost smell those lovely lillies! I bought a few different ones from Lowes "Almost Dead Zone" and they bloomed and bloomed and bloomed and I think I only paid $1 for each. The were the loveliest scent as well. Yes, those are dragonfly carcassas. We don't get any now because our water, I believe, is too deep, but in the beginning when we only had 18" of water or less, we had oodles of them crawl out of the pool/pond. Here are a couple of pictures. DH went out @ Midnight to take pictures to find out what they were since we did not see any emerge during the day. :goldfish:

Thanks for the compliments. I cannot take credit though, DH took them. We had a bunch of the carcassas stuck on the walls of the pool in 2009. Had no idea what they were, so DH got up around midnight and took his camera and got the cool pictures and the mystery was solved. We learned so much that summer, all because DH was laid off and we could not afford to replace the liner on our above ground pool....which now is a pond!

Shoe string you did a good job with what you have, and recycled the old liner into something new and exciting! :)
But now here's my depressing news, I lost my superphone that I used to take my pictures with, somewhere by the river last night while walking the dogs. As soon as I discovered it was lost, I panic, my heart rate went up and I got a "headache" right away! Like I'm addicted to taking hundreds of pictures with it and checking my "mail". My hubby is coming home to help me look tonight, again, been back there three times since last night looking, over and over again. One the bright side, the walk was nice early this morning, and the puppies and me got to go for extra walks back and forth, over the same trail, again and again, now I'm exhausted and going to lay down with "Poppy" and pet her smooth soft velvet ears nice, then "everything will be better"! Going for "Poppy" therapy now.... zzzzzz

That's too bad Collen and hope you can find it! Maybe someone will turn it in to you if they find it. Poppy will help you get through this!

Oh No Colleen. I so hope you find your phone. Did DH try calling your number to help you possibly locate it? Or do you think the battery is dead? As for the pond, we not only repurposed our liner, we repurposed the whole pool. It is an above ground pond which it gr8 for my decrepate knees. Instead of having to bend down to service the pone, I just walk around it. I love it. We do need to DIY a larger filter system for it though. Maybe next season....but will have to start to purchase the equipment now, while paychecks are still coming in. ;)

My phone should have been right on the dirt road, where I suspect I dropped it, as I reached into my purse to get the dog leashes out, when I saw this guy coming down the dirt road by the river. Been up and down it many times and tried to call it too. I think that guy took it off the road, saw him stop the truck right there too where I most likely lost it. It couldn't have gone far, because I stayed on the dirt road the whole time and I didn't go very far that day. Going to suck it up and get a new one tomorrow, if the other ever shows up I'm going to give to to my friend, cause hers is broken. Then I'm going to get a new park bag that zips up tight, with a seperate compartment just for the phone! oh there is a new "app" for these cell phones that will tell you where it's lost, next phone will have one for sure!!!

colleen i live in sask where abouts are you located ahha actually i just seen you live in Med Hat. i used to live there in rossglen actually, still have my rental house there, in just outside of regina now. i have a 10,000gal pond in the works right now and lots of ppl say i cant run in the winter because of freezing. my pond is about 6 feet deep in the lowest spots and where the water fall will go by my pump and filter box it will be about 4 feet deep. next year i will be doing all the plumbing the one thing i thinking is adding lots of circulating jets so winter time i can shutoff the water fall so it doesnt freeze solid and still keep water turnover at a good rate. Msg me, and checkk out my pics so far, it will be good to get some of your input.
