Colleen, My thoughts are with you and your Mom. I lost my Dad a year ago and miss his voice...I have saved several special phone messages and I'm so glad to have them.

I will have to give lots of guppies away as I just have way too many. This summer I will put a free ad or maybe see if pet store will take some. They are so healthy when you put them outside. Birdies come to drink from pond and sombody dropped pieces of some rodent into pond and guppies ate that quickly. They get lots of bugs too and you should see how fast they swim out there. Guppies are like flowers, so many pretty colors and they seem to do way better outside as long as little pond has fish tank heater

Been kinda of sad about my mom. It's been stressful to see her all confused in the mind. Half the time she can appear so normal and the other half of the time she is sad and confused. Today she was talking about a very bright light, and claims I was there in that bright light. Then she talked about how "we all have to go" and that made me very sad. Last week she kind of snapped back to almost normal and cried to me to please take her home and how she would not be a bother or eat much.... Then I really cried hard to my brother and he wanted to take her home.... She can't go home cause she needs constant care... Were all sad. Have to snap out of it myself and get outside and pull some weeds. Yard work good therapy.

Very sorry and sad to see your mom heading down a sad road. Be thankful to see her in those happy times she still has now and then. I never met her but I feel like I have through all the nice photo's and memories you have posted here. You have such a wonderful relationship w/her. I see her sitting by your pond having coffee w/you and happy.

I was always close with mom and so that makes it harder. I will be strong for her and focus on just being happy to still have her alive and physically she is pretty healthy. I had nice long talk with her last nite. She was able to remember my number but can't remember Wayne's number and half the time she forgets Glenda's number. Mom always called me dozens of times each day so I feel lucky that she can remember my old number so well. I wrote their numbers down for her but the paper got lost. Today I will write them down again and this time I will take them to her phone in her room. She is still in hospital and will be their for a few months till we can move her to nice home that can take care of all her needs. She can walk with a walker now and gets around pretty good but mentally her mind is weaker but at least she still remembers us and still happy to walk to hospital coffee shop with me and we have coffee and she still likes to read the paper. She is just a little confused at times and they said she will not get better as that is just the way it goes. We can still sit together in the sun and enjoy the moments we still have together

Hi Everybody!!!! Got to run soon and see my mom before work. Just wanted everybody to see how extra beautiful the front yard guppy pond is looking today. The water is all clear now and the Laguna Liquid Pond peat works every time! Takes about a month to stabilize the pond but the outcome is a very beautiful guppy pond!

If I ever get too old for the big ponds then I can still have a little sweet guppy pond!

@callingcolleen1 , What does the pond Peat do? I've never used it, but your pond looks beautiful !
I use the " Laguna Liquid Pond Peat", comes in hottle, and a use enough to darken the water in your pond, a litte every week for about 4 to 6 weeks, and then it should clear. I use it early in spring and then by summer water is clear. Works like a charm every year.
