I got some actual lilys in my garden planted too, why do you throw them away? Don't they come back next year? Mine come back every year, unless you got the tropical lilys? I'll have to take pictures of all the lillys I got planted in the front flower bed that are coming back real nice. I just love Lillys :) :)

lol colleen, when lowes plants are brought in they are in their prime. If some don't sell, the blooming is done, etc, then lowes sales them real cheap, I call them the nearly deads, some are almost dead lack of water, some are nice plants but have already bloomed. They are lowes throwaways, not ours, I get them for a dollar or so instead of 5-20 dollars, plant and they grow great.

Looked in my lotus tub, this am, I am a mommy to a zillion rosey red minnows, all different sizes. The minnows disappeared when the toads had their babies in the tub, they are just showing up again.

Lol, Colleen, I don't throw them away.............I call them the Lowes Plants on Death Row! We buy them and bring them home and nurse them back to health and they bloom each year after that! Really cheap on death row............like $2. or so!

Don't think so, this year just have the lotus tub (large container garden lol) and a pot with some star grass, a hibiscus and a few taros growing. I cut back..........or got lazy this year, take your pick.

Very pretty addy! Wish my blooms would hurry up. Sun is trying to shine on them right now. Wake up blooms, wake up!

I just now got some water lettuce and hyacinths this past weekend, so hopefully they will take off. The mini water lettuce I have in my aquarium is doing well in the pond though.

lol colleen, nah we have 4 cameras on the outside of the pond overlooking it. That is our eyes in the sky when we are gone. I can call our neighbors if something bad starts going.
I learned a lot about herons watching the sucker for hours last year as it tried to get to the fish, same thing with the green heron this year. So far no other predators that we have seen. The gbh has not stopped by this year ...............yet

addy1.....simply amazing...I have read your whole build thread and it has given me many ideas for my bog that I'm wanting to add. Can my bog be deeper at one end and slowly get shallow as it enters the pond? I currently have a skippy filter set up and I was wanting to put a wye and branch off from my skimmer box to feed my bog. Can I run both the bog and the skippy? My skippy feeds my waterfall.
