It has been a nice wet spring, the first time in a while. The last two springs were real dry and hot. This one has been better, finally wetter, cooler and nice. The plants are going crazy.

Gloriosa Daisy, rudbeckia gloriosa
I put out a load of seeds a few years back, wildflower deer resistant mix, the daisy became the predominant flower, most likely because it is the one that could survive without water. We had two really dry summers. The finches land in a yellow wave eating the seeds when the flowers begin to seed. Just beautiful

The wildflower field near our house, the purple flowers and white daisy's are the predominant flower. I need to look up the name of the purple one, this was a native to our area mix of seed. The purple are now fading out and the white daisy's taking over. It blooms all summer with different flowers coming up

They are giving me huge blooms so far, I really groomed them back, didn't think they would so so well. in other words chopped the poop out of them, shipped out over 200 lily tubers.

Holy cow that's a lot of lilies addy! They must know you well at the post office! Yours are coming up in my pond and am waiting for the pretty blooms to show their faces. Not sure if the purple iris will bloom this year or not. My old yellow ones are blooming now but their are some iris that haven't opened up yet which could be the dark ones. If not prolly next year.
