yea as bad as I need to add a skimmer,I'm just enjoying what I have to the fullest, and I made a homemade net using window screen ,so it really works great for now.

Our skimmer is in, but liner is not cut. Going to just wait till the spring. As I net out leaves.

Then will have to drain the pond down to cut it in.

.skimmers are known to leak if not installed correct, but I'm sure you did the upmost work on yours as the pics show that!.........,so waiting to allow the dirt to settle etc.is a smart idea,[if I'm thinking what your thinking hehe]

Honey made a wood frame for it, buried the legs of the frame 2 feet down, to help stabilize it,
but after a winter of snow, ice, freezing it will sure be settled.

Still have a lot of work to do, but getting the large rocks/boulders placed. Need to hide all the liner that is showing, tweaking lol

but it got to hot again, hauling rocks up a slope is hard work when it heats up ............well hard work when it is cool too

Thanks, a lot of hauling and work, trying to make it look like the stream is cutting through a rocky plant covered cliff. Sort of getting there! I have some nice boulders, but my honey will have to haul them for me, my limit is around 75-100 lbs, esp trying to haul them up a slope.
If I can roll them, that works pretty good, but hard to roll across streams and other rocks.

I noticed we have more in common.we both love are evergreens sbrubs and tree's..hehe

Well this will be my third winter in cold land. In arizona, plants are green and flower all winter, here it is brown/gray and dead looking. Well white if it snows lol. So therefore, evergreens are great, they add color when all is brown. Something to look at.

I like a combination of sizes and shapes. Makes the eye flow from side to side of the landscape when you use similar plants.

That really is going to be amazing. I'm really excited for you, and can't wait to see the finished product.

I am really enjoying the process, Thanks the encouragement. sometimes I look at it, take my boots off and go back in the house lol But most of the time it is like painting a picture, each rock fits in somewhere to help complete the picture. I will fuss with it until the liner does not show. Done this year? who knows. lol

Can't wait for this heat to break, darn hard to keep working with it slamming you.

My darn bog leaked, it was the boot I put in for the drain, even bought a boot, did more then they said to do, and it leaked. And I can't see where it is leaking from. What a pain. Oh well, doing a seal job on the outside of the liner and on the inside. I dare it leak again.

Had to shovel about 300 lbs of pea gravel out of the way, if not more. Of course it did not leak when i did a test run, it waited until we had the gravel in.

my you are working so hard ... i love it :0)

Thank you very much, keeps me in shape and out of trouble..........well sort of lol

Thank you for the kind words, it is an obsession in a way, can't wait to have water flowing, and I am sure I will be working on it until I can no longer climb that slope.

I am putting in random stepping stones (same as the pond stones) on the slope to have a place to put your feet. Without them you tend to just slide down.

Each stone placed where you might step, gets the pound test, I make sure they stay in place when i jump on them. So if you want to walk the edge of the stream the stones won't shift.

Had one shift, which I had not set well yet, trying to take the pictures posted today...........the camera took a picture of me laying on the ground lmao.
