Went to a new place yesterday called Hawthorn Hallow. A small area, but nice woodlands.

They also have these three old buildings from the 1800s. Two were schools and one was a town hall.

Neat place to explore. Boy fall has hit you alright! What's the little hut used for?

Yeah, the good part of fall is almost over. Now onto the cold, windy, colorless fall. The hut is just an example of a Native American wigwam for people to check out as they walk by.

Has hit us too and today is so dark and dreary. I see, so the place has a lot of historical examples so you understand how the people lived way back when. Cool!

We see turkeys out in a corn field near our house, never really close though.

They showed up twice a day for 3 days, and never came back. The first day, I was sitting by the pond. I heard this ruckus out back. I ran and saw turkeys clucking, running and flying. Our dog was checking them out. I was surprised to see them return. They surrounded the pond and house several times. I hope they have an easy winter.
