This is the Common Stinkhorn (Phallus impudicus). It gives off a foul odor that attracts carrion flies, which in turn help to disperse its spores. It is found worldwide, and appears to be particularly common in the Northern Hemisphere.Saw some strange mushrooms the other day , looks like they last one day.

Here in Louisiana, if we see colors, it’s much later, and it seems that most of the trees around here are the kind that just drop leaves without a lot of color change.
Is that a Salmon or a Brown Trout? I know they both spawn this time of year.Hiked along the Root River yesterday. Water levels are low. We've seen very little rain all year.
