Very cool! I'm assuming you already googled "painted turtle eggs" or saw laying activity on youtube? The eggs are pretty large in relation to the turtle's size - about the size of their head, and white. I hope you can keep the grass roots from infiltrating the nesting site - otherwise the little dudes might be sealed under the lawn when they hatch.If it weren't so far away I would hook up a web cam.
I did get a little bit of turtle footage yesterday though.
and today I secured the chicken wire.

Pecan I have never been to Utah. It is very pretty, the rock formations are so red. Very cool. Did you pick up some more rocks?
