Koi needed.

Wow , I really feel bad now, I have a little less than 1000 gal pond. I have 4 Koi I’ve had for about 20 yrs. All big and healthy. Yes I clean my pillow filter every week. I use well water and flush the pond every couple months. So far no problems. Lucky I guess.

i doubt koi wil hold on to the eggs just because there are no males for 3 years , might not drop the eggs for a week or two but not years

Lol I could have a load of koi, my filtration is huge. Large bog, technically 7 settling ponds etc.

I prefer plants and goldfish that leave the plants alone.

water always crystal clear, unless I am purging bog plants.

Still recovering from the snake attack, lost around 200 fish.

A bit off topic, but it seems a lot of this thread already is so I might as well... I love the variety in your goldfish! I see a lot of people just go with the cheap feeder fish (to each their own) so it's always fun seeing some cool patterns/colors. As someone who has driven well over an hour to hunt down unique looking goldfish I really appreciate the variety you have here. The black/white cow print one with the red head especially caught my eye. Thx for sharing!
