Thank goodness. I am just having a great laugh that you, of all people, are now part of a "catty" group. I thank god I am not on social media, my head would explode if I was on FB.

As much as fb just ain't my thing. it did get me aquascapes attention from the tens of thousands of posts they get. To have won that notoriety was quite flattering. So I have changed the total negative to being only half full of crap. Afterall it was their videos that got me hooked on building my own.
So now I hang here and a little on fb where I see @brokensword he has not abandoned ponds just this site. So I hope to help the next dyi pond of the year by being here. Many who are still hanging around gave me advice as well. Now the know they helped is helping them and others full circle.

That is great to hear brokensword is still around. I joined after he left but I see his posts when I am searching for information. He had a lot of information, shame he is not on here anymore. Dont know what happened and honestly do not really want to know why, lol, at least I know it is not my fault.
If I was on FB I would leave people in tears with my sarcasm, so it is best I am not on there. My wife fills me in on what is being posted by family etc. People post way too much info. I am happy just to look at pictures of your pond.

Don’t even get me started on FB groups! The amount of misinformation that gets passed on is incredible!
I am right there with you!
I can’t be on Facebook. I have a hard time keeping my mouth shut with the stupidity that gets posted on those groups.

Either way, I’m here to play. Glad we can get over it and move on.
I look forward to reading a plethora of posts on here

I was not a fan of face book for 25 years I did not care about someone I went to school with who I have no contact with have their child get a first tooth. Nor did I care about the opinions of covid I have built clean rooms and bio labs in the past enough to know the way we went about it was strictly political. There was very little science to it...
99.9% of scientists disagree.

I always love when people refer to their fish as "happy". Like how would one gauge the happiness of a fish? I mean, I do it too, don't get me wrong. I tell my family it gives my fish great joy when I get in the pond with them... and they all go "oooookay crazy lady". It's just interesting how often people defend their ponding choices by claiming their fish are "happy".

I know I'M happy when I'm watching my fish.

Here's one thing I learned from hard experience... big fish in a small pond will eventually lead to disaster. Control all the factors you can control, but one day your pump will fail mid winter or your power will go out for many hours and your big fish in your small pond will not survive. And you will never forget how that feels to hoist those big beautiful dead fish out of your pond one at a time.

But your goldfish and shubunkins won't care one lick.

Sooo, getting back to the original OP question I may have a solution. I could pimp out a couple of my himbo koi, they are quite handsome. Bring them over, set a nice meal for all of them, put a couple drops of wine in the water to lighten the mood. Have some romantic lighting in the pond. Have some worms for dessert to get them going. Put a sign out "See waves, go away" for privacy. Once all done then I take my himbos back. Solves the immediate overstocking, of course there is the issue of the babies. Maybe provide fish condoms, but that could ruin the mood. Could be a little side business for me, not really different than what I do now.

Hello All! I the Philadelphia area.
I have 1000 gallon pond with 4 female koi. Looking for some male koi. 2 of my females have been carrying eggs for 3 yrs and I need to get them to drop them. If anyone needs to relocate any koi, please feel free to reach out. Appreciate you all!
