Temps here are close to normal for this time of year except we usually have more snow. Starting Tuesday highs will be in the 40's with lows in the high 20's to the low 30's.
This is what my pond looked like this morning.

Love the deer pic, MT! I sure wish I had deer that came up into my yard, but that's not going to happen. No cover for them, and if they travel past my house, it's usually at break neck speeds. :) Thanks for sharing your lovely deer!

Love my deer but they are hell on my plants. A lot of times I come home and they are laying in my yard! The bottom yard has clover so we don't have to mow it much cause they keep it trimmed well.

Deer seek in my yard every night. They ate the buds of my favorite roses before it ever got to bloom, and my hydrangea buds, but then they also pick up all the little apples from the grass out front so I don't have too! :)

Awesome, Addy! A friend lives right next to the woods, he owns 20 acres and most of it is woods to the side of his house. Deer frequent his yard every early a.m and p.m. He has several old apple trees, doesn't spray them for bugs, so the apples all have holes and worms in them. The deer take care of cleaning them all up in time. He never picks them up. I would love that! BUT, I would NOT love them coming into my yard and eating my flowers and landscaping. Once drove through a subdivision, and there were probably 40 deer we spotted, all in people's front and back yards! The friend said they were a nuisance to the neighborhood, because of eating landscaping, and anyone caught feeding them were fined dearly!

They wander through my yard all of the time, eat all the dropping apples. We plant a field of corn for them every year.

They do not bother a single plant around the pond or on the slope, even the hosta's. I have well behaved deer!

Then you "lucked out", but be warned, some may develop a tasted for other things, as happened to me. What the heck, life is short, that's why I try to plant "one of everything" that way I can overwhelm the deer with so many choices, that they just trim "a little here and there" and it's not so noticeable! :)

lol Colleen, the ground hog does a yard sample all of the time. I have so many plants, the only time I notice damaged plants are if they are small and new.

The deer here come in and just eat everything. The deer resistant stuff they still eat. I put a fence around my deck and I had a doe that would jump over the fence and eat everything.

I must have weird deer, they really don't bother anything around the pond or in the yard. Even have plants they love, in the front yard, lots of hostas, they never touch them.
