hi everyone, today progress shows the start of side casement assembly ,was going to mark out circle, but change my mind, will make the the two axle, "A" frame bearer units first, then mark circle whilst rotating wheel, this will central the shalft and the outer wheel, any abnormallities will be taken up in casement.

Hi all today i started on the two "A" frames that will support the water wheel, with this done, i fitted the new axle and support bearings which arrived today[ good timing ] and this took me most of the day. Todays photos show support frames, take no notice of top piece of timber as only there to space evenly also uploaded my vision of wheel [ drawing-plan ],Was thinking of using perspex plastic sheet [old shower splash guard] so to view wheel complely turning, at front.

Hi all, today was to finish all sides, then to take them off again, biscuit joint and glue them back in place. Before fixing i sanded the inner side of casements, the outer will get sanded later.

hi everyone, today photos show first part of circle on outer wheel, tomorrow it the turn of the other side. Managed to get one paddle fitted with cover filet [to hide end grain] and make another three paddles. Paddles are made using six peices of timber glued and biscuited ,with in my case grooves on outerside to match hub. To anyone viewing this thread, all of what ive done can be done in your on workshop /shed i have not used any special machinery only hand tools and common power tools ie:biscuit jointer, sander, pin gun, hand drill and pillar drill plus sliding chop saw. I will say use of planer and thicknesser would of got HUB more even, but im please with the overall outcome.
