thanks, next treat is mortising the spokes, all 16 of them, two per row, times eight, plus do it all again, when i start outer wheel casement.

Very nice! my other husband was a machinist, he did precision work like you are doing, but mainly with metal

Whiskey did you just glue the hub together and that's it? Is that piece inside the hub electrical pvc or is it metal? I know the one in the second set of pics is metal but can't tell on the first set.

hi, pipe inside is 1 1/4 plastic glued with packing surrounded by 8 blocks of 3"x2" once set squared to centre of pipe with two end covers. The pipe is only there to glue to new metal bar and bearing, bar in picture only there until new unit arrives.When finished, bar will be solid to bar, and free running on bearing if that makes sense. Up loading more photos showing use of sliding chop saw, to do tennons on rails.

thanks folks, today i shaped the rails and fitted them dry, so tomorrow i can start working out, inner box plus sides and padddles. IF ANYONE HAS QUESTIONS, CONCERNING WOODWORKING ILL TRY AND ANSWER ANY QUESTIONS.
