I just ate a huge hunk of chocolate cake here at the campground potluck..................I'm stuffed and it was sooooooo good and I'm bad but happy :LOL:

it's been about a year now since i began eating healthier.. (minus the last few months that i've been slackin' a bit) finally weighed myself again, down around 40 pounds and 4 or 5 inches on waiste. feel better than i have in years, but still not where i wanna be yet. time to get serious again!! a new resolve for some new resolutions for the new year...

but think what your heart and body are saying to you for eating better THANK YOU at least you are thinking now before it is to late and you are succeeding more than you think .great job and all you can do is get better at it .

well popcorn is not bad as long as no salt and butter .I just pop plain popcorn in the air popper .I love my salads and think they are like a drug to me.eating one now spinach, broccoli ,cauliflower and a little shredded cheese .YUMMY YUMMY IN MY TUMMY

Great to hear Koiguy, my honey lost 50 lbs, went from a 44 to 36 pant size, just from getting married to me! (I wear him out lol) He started eating better, fast food, eating out constantly didn't happen like it was with his previous life. We don't eat prepackage meals, everything is scratch made. I enjoy cooking, most of the time lol.

Glad you are doing good at your losing koiguy.............me not so much. The holidays killed me off! I'll get back to my good foods and long walks regularly now in this new year.............I hope :helm2:

I need to get off my butt too Colleen and go for my walk....................so I can eat that last big sugary muffin,lol, then I'll start fresh w/ no goodies in the house to tempt me!

I love salads... problem is that is isnt all that healthy by the time I am done slathering that Marie's Ranch Dressing all over it...

Congrats to all who have been eating better, losing some of the weight you want gone, etc... I do want to say something about DIETS however. No matter what we read, each and everyone of us is different. What works for one, may not work for someone else. YOUR EMOTIONS will play a big part in weight control as well. Being happy with yourself is the biggest SUCCESS to STARTING a diet IMO...

Hubby thinks he is grossly over weight. He isnt. Can he afford to lose a few pounds, yes... I control most of the meals in this house, and as a general rule, we eat healthy. When he gets stressed, he will gain weight, even if the diet and activity levels have not changed.

I on the other hand have the opposite problem of most. I struggle to maintain/gain weight. Again, same diet and activity levels... no stress, my weight is fine (still want to gain, but not losing)... if I am stressing, even doubling my intake will cause me to LOSE weight.

So just want to stress that you need to be HAPPY with yourself no matter what the scale says. You dont have to accept that scale and can strive to improve health, but dont forget about your emotional well being. ATTITUDE IS EVERYTHING,

chocolate coke cake covered with fudge icing with ice cream, our treat for driving all day. We stopped for the night, home tomorrow. Back to healthy eating

Yum addy that sounds delicious! My neighbor just came to my door and she had a box of fancy chocolates that she brought in so I could choose one for me and one for hubby. I said no more than that cuz I'm trying to be good. They are so yummy and she shared some w/ me last year too but I was bad and ate more then :razz:
