This is so fun! Wouldn't it be cool if they were a male and female pair and had offspring? I am imagining GBBUDD sitting by the pond, trying to be all gruff and saying "if they behave, they can stay" -- while a bunch of super cute baby turtles swim around all over the place! :D :D :D
No kidding and taking plenty of great pictures!

I have little doubt that they are a flower pot and a fan as I have already seen them fighting like an old school husband a wife.... trying to be politically correct and not assume they want to be called husband a wife so flower pot and fan was what I got from them

So do turtles tend to stick together and follow each other when one decides to go off and find new digs? Must be the case as how would two show up pretty much together at around the same time?

Animals can sense water and I don't know about turtles but most other animals can smell a females miles away some literally.

Oh man spell check is way to funny some times. it didn't like popy and switched it out for pops and it didn't like cockadoodle do and changed that to the first for letters . It was good for a deep belly lol

I can't imagine how much baking soda I'd need to. Boost 12000 gallons or more

Well two turtles didn't last to long. Seems she gave it up on day two. And one of the turttles has moved on.
She has definately settled in as she devours the food I put out and on the days when I don't feed , she comes over toward me as if to say remember me fill my spot with food Mr.

and I swear she has already grown 1/3 of the size she was a couple weeks ago.

Some people get ALLLLLLL THE LUCK! We've twice had a painted turtle show up in the pond and both times they said "thanks but we're just passing through!" We used to have snappers wander through the yard pre-pond, pre-fence... they are interesting creatures. Practically prehistoric looking! But we were always happy to see them go - they aren't much fun!

Shhhhhh I feed her nothing but the best she thinks she's at the ritz Carlton.
Krill, Meal worms, crickets and turtlepellets. Why would anyone move on .
Though the Koi don't give her much space.. she climbs up on her floating log. Grabs some food then dives in and if there's even a hint of food sticking out the koi take it away. I know I'm going to come home one day and find one of the koi with a bite somewhere from the turtle . .....

You want to see a sight you should see a pair of snapping turtles when they mate. Lets just say someone saw this a long time ago and that's where bondage came from.

We watched a pair of snappers mating once in one of the big ponds in our neighborhood. A couple of 8 year old boys rode up on their bikes and one suggested to the other "let's go grab 'em while they're fighting!" I said "Boys - first of all, that's not fighting and secondly, don't bother those two if you value your limbs!"
