Thanks for the lesson on toads vs. frogs. Zman! I did not know that, and thanks for the close up of their eyes, to distinguish it so easily! I would have guessed them all as frogs, too. I appreciate you reading up on them and identifying them, too.

Hadn't seen the young Bull Frog at all today, and hadn't seen the Leopard Frog since Sunday. Tonight I went out and found both! Looks like the Bullfrog has made himself/herself a home. It was sitting in the bog. Now I'm hoping a Green Frog will move in too. Leopards and Greens are my favorite, though I don't mind having a Bullfrog. I'm just glad I finally have frogs again. I was starting to think it wouldn't happen this year.

This year has been sooo cold, then even in August, it's cooler than normal. I think today only got up to the 70's, and I think it's down to the 50's already. Brrr ... but great sleeping weather. Wish I was camping!

No kidding, this summer has been nearly perfect for camping. I'm hoping to get out again before it gets too cold, but with 50s in summer (my temps yesterday), I'm worried we'll be in the 30s in a month.

We have tree frogs all through out the woods behind our house. We have at least three frogs (one very large one) this year but I have been unable to get a good pic of them, so I will post pics of the resident frog from last year.

Today I found another Bullfrog at my pond. The new one is a little bigger than the other one, but both are fairly small for Bullfrogs. Seems like July-September is when the frogs must search for new homes. Last year all four came within that time period. Maybe the humidity allows them to travel.
