love them big boulders they make all the difference in the world in looking natural coming right along

coping is the last row at the surface its looking like you wont have much liner to fold or tuck wheres the water line going to be.

@GBBUDD yes, you are right I am very tight on liner in two spots. It’s going to be a pain… new pond builders reading this thread in the future: don’t cheap on smaller liner to save a few bucks…

You'll find it easier if you get endless slings . It's a circle there is no end . They self since to the load but are a little more work at times trying to remove them
Wondering if those straps are 100 percent nylon not a good thing .. they don't look it .

Concentrate on your largest boulders so you can step down on the size and cost for the next rental . Don't rush and burn yourself.

Nice thing about the rocks your size is if you need to add on later or do a little remodeling you can with the big boys its written in stone as they say

Becareful with the cinderblocks there 90 egret corners are often sharp enough to cut rubber. Rounding the edge or a good layer of HD fabric will help.
Are you going to set the cinderblocks onto a footing ? Obviously frost isn't an issue but settling could be.

Your obviously doing a matrix bog what's your plan for the stone.
For the conderblocks on the inside I’m just using them to temporarily hold the liner footprint in place. You’re right,
The cinderblocks are definitely sharp!

As for the stone in the filter, I’m doing 24” with big/med/then small stone

I know first hand about that I went with a cheap liner when I started my pond and it dropped 6in over night lol so it actually cost me more I ended up buying a brand new EPDM LINER 1st pond learning experience

i did the same with my matrix bog and i am reworking it now. The price tag is over 5 k because i had to much liner with the pond and to shy with the the bog.... . i'm just not adding daily updates the regs are probably tired of all ive done to the pond so it will all be added at once.

if i can give some advice either add to it or bring the pond in in that area don't try to make it squeeze by. or if you do make sure you can move the rocks you place there with your tractor

@GBBUDD my current plan is to try and bring that section in. But when you say add to it, how would that work?

I feel like I’m asking for trouble if I try this, but I was thinking if I had more liner I could place it over that section by a large amount, say 2-3’ of vertical overhang.

Is that how it’s done? I know that works for connecting two areas with different heights..

only when you have a height difference and that's not the case with that area. it's seeming the liner it's realy not that hard if your a finance guy who is building a pond like you are with the boulders you are you can handle seeming i did a sticky in pond building on how to do it https://www.gardenpondforum.com/threads/seaming-epdm-liner.26807/
