They just put out traps and charge a nice amount. No more than I am doing. Mine are baited, occasional small fish swims in, I let them loose as they do, after a day, tads swim in. The last fish that got into the trap was eaten as two snakes were caught.Try calling a pest exterminator?
Glue traps are horribly inhumane. I understand that you're frustrated with the water snake 'infestation', but... if a frog or other critter doesn't deserve to die a slow, painful death via glue trap, then neither does a snake. (climbing down off my soapbox as I hit 'post')Mouse traps, never thought of them. I did read they have glue traps, but I don't want to trap frogs and other critters.
They have a glue trap that catches them and you can use veg oil to release. I would never use. Just going to keep using the minnow trap.Glue traps are horribly inhumane. can't do that either loose my few frogs that are around and or other critters. Will be a constant fight until they decide to not be around.Mouse traps may not work with a large snake but a rat trap would!
The problems you have when you build the perfect nature preserve lolPatience and dedicated trapping are probably your best bet. They may eat enough fish, they decide to move on....espeically if you don't replace them.
I'm really sorry you're going through this.
