Here is the upper pond/pool redone. Its main purpose has always been a water return to feed the stream. The rock formation in the last picture I added later to try to make it seem like it was spring fed. That feature (in the past I believe I've called it "the gorge") is also now run off the main water line running from the pond (4200 gph laguna) instead of by a separate pump. Will post pics of that redo later if I have them.

I love how your pond/creek looks so natural. You can't see one little cord or hose anywhere.

Thanks a lot JW! That has been my goal from the beginning, to make it look natural & to hide the liner along with all of the equipment. The deck helps a lot, all electrical runs under it through a 2" PVC pipe.

Everything sure does look very natural, and the angle your pics are taken, your stream looks to be about 50' long. VERY nice! I am anxious to see how your plants do once your snow is gone and things thaw up up there. I'm guessing they will all come back just fine, especially since they were all rated for your zone. Give them time, as some of those plants take a while to come back. This year they will really take off, too, now that the roots have had last year to really set themselves well.

Thanks Patty! The stream is only about 20-25' long. I'm hoping being buried in a snow drift most of the winter will help, a lot of my pines are showing damage from the cold winds. Gonna give everything in the landscape plenty of time to show signs of life before ripping it out.

I wonder, too, Nathan, what damage we are all going to see in our landscaping, spring bulbs, etc. from the severe cold we experienced this past winter. It's not that we have all never had those cold temps, but I think for the most part, we all had the "arctic" temps far longer than ever before, or in a very long time. I'm hoping everything will be fine, but time and warm weather will show us soon. Good luck!

Patty I fully agree, I am already seeing brown needles in many of my pines in my landscape and around here in general.

Here are some pics from the beginning of January, the holes by the deck are where the rabbit made his home. I did trap him a few times but he figured out how to get back in by jumping from some landscape bricks over the short part of the fence. The first time I helped him along by forgetting to remove some boards laying against the fence, pretty much a rabbit ready ramp is what I left him. After that he jumped from the bricks over, and then the next time I caught him he got relocated to a nature area a few miles away. I did feel a little bad when I let him go since it was still very cold at the time, but seeing the trees he was feasting on in my yard made that feeling not last long. :) But I still will always live trap, just have to release further away from my house. If they never ate the trees or power cords (led to the 2" pipe under the deck from the pond to the power box) and only the carrots we put out, I'd let them stay. Here are the pics:
