Hi

Today hard slog triple courses of brickwork [ where top pond flowed into main ] plus some blockwork removed.

Had a surprise though, being......... i got my drawing/plan wrong.....tut tut.

Found i got more space than first thought, which means main pond will be even biggger, your see by looking at footings plan i drew today [ to double check ] and just look at photos of two pieces of timber laid where the new main pond will finish, needless to say i was really excited over the prospects , this will enable fish to grow on nicely.....yea.

So tomorrow i got the help of wife and son working with me my wife going to steam
clean the first of three 50 gallon water tanks ,first one came today ,the second come next wednesday and the third to be arranged as bidding stops tomorrow on ebay.

Going to make filters out of two and a sieve out of the other, size of tanks are 116 x 64 x 50cm so plenty of room for filter media etc.

Son going to try his hand at cleaning blocks up, so i can use them on first course once footings are in, and little old me will endevour to rectify footings boardwork plus take rest of blocks down.

I like ambitious projects. Looks like you will be busy for a while on this one.
We are thinking about selling this place and purchasing our retirement property. I'm sure I will have a blank slate to work with again.

hi all today we all got our backs into it , my wife moved a huge pile of soil into containers bless her, so we could see the full size of pond.

My son helped my wife to by shifting blocks, and piled them up ready for the big clean up, some of them had footing on from previous build [heavy ]

As to me knock out rest of walling and laid footing boards just got four more channels to dig maybe tomorrow but looks like being sunday as rain forecast for tomorrow.

Few more photos ....you can start to see the spanse of the pond.

Also we all took it in turns to throw the dumbell for "LADDIE"
