they get used to your yorkie and hubbies hair they may not be able to step out the door as the birds will try to snatch straight from the source

sigh, I feed them also. Bags and bags of food over winter. A lot less during the summer.

I know I at least feed mine too but I also feed a herd of deer and give them strw in the woods behind my house to bed down and can shine the flaslight out there at night and all I see is glowing eyes

I don't remember where I got this stuff or if I was the one who cut it up but it is little short pieces of cut up old style mop clippings. I thought the birds might like it so I put it out under a dry covered bird feeding station and am waiting to see if they grab and go w/ it all. There is so much of it they might be freaked out by it all. If it doesn't start moving I will take some and put in those netted fruit bags and hang from the trees :fechten2:

Glowing eyes at night are quite spooky when one takes a walk by one's self when one shouldn't really be out there but sometimes one can't resist it if it's a nice night

know what you mean as here you have to be carefull not to get mowed down by deer running across the road and whatever else is out there .The other night it was a fox scared me stopped stared and went on I could breathe after that

hahah i think foxes are really cute, but then again i have never seen one before either and yeah thats would be a good idea, you don't want them defeciating in the pond or near it

We have red fox here, they are beautiful. JW i put the matting etc in some suet feeders I was not using and hung them in a tree near the pond and near the bird houses.
Also used an onion bag, it is perfect for the birds to pull stuff out of. Hang in trees so they feel safe when picking it up.
